Crab Cottage, hotel in Wells next the Sea

Featuring garden views, Crab Cottage offers accommodation with a garden and a terrace, around 2.3 km from Wells Beach.

The only thing that could have been improved would have been if the property had had waterfront views. Obviously there's nothing they can do about that and the price reflects it.

A most picturesque old town. Lots of shops to mooch around. Great food in so many cafes and restaurants - most are dog friendly. The beaches are glorious to explore, so many different routes. So many beautiful places to stay. Winter visits are quieter but the weather makes you feel alive. Heaven on Earth.

Great little town with lots of facilities including The Maltings which has local history, information, cafe and cinema too. We liked the fact that Wells has a working fishing harbour and the estuary is really lovely. Good walks too.

    Really nice place.

Really nice place. Loads of little shops, and- at the time we were there- plenty of activity. It was a superb place to stay to travel the area: buses towards Hunstanton and to Sheringham, both services pretty regular during the day. Very handy for walking, so car is superfluous. We wa;lked the whole coast from Hunstanton to Cromer, and there were plenty of birders about . Some fine wildlife sights, and we enjoyed the Wells and Walsingham Railway

We came here to meet friends staying nearby at Burnham Market. Wells-next-the-sea is a lovely quaint village. Bustling with activity in August. There are nice beaches and lovely shops and places to eat. Holkham Hall is definitely worth a visit if you enjoy walking around Heritage buildings. The decor was beautiful. There's plenty to do if you have a young family, not so much for teenagers.

Lovely picturesque town especially around the Quay.

Lovely picturesque town especially around the Quay. Unfortunately I would not return (apart from a day trip) as everywhere shuts up way too early. Couldn't get an evening meal anywhere after 7pm or even buy a pint of milk if you ran out as all shops shut late afternoon. Even the shop advertised as closing g at 9pm was all locked up by 8.15pm. Saw people looking for an evening meal at 7.30pm being told they'd have to go to the next town. There is an evening sunset boat trip which returns at 9.30pmish and they were all looking for somewhere to get a drink when they got off but all bars were locked up (it was still light outside in June)! Only suitable to stay if you are in bed by 7.30pm. Such a shame as it is a lovely place. To sum it up as overheard by a local barmaid "I don't know why people come to Wells".

The property was very well appointed and clean. The welcome pack and all the items such as soap were appreciated. It was like a 5 star hotel , The only thing missing were the staff.
