Lovely picturesque town especially around the Quay.
Lovely picturesque town especially around the Quay. Unfortunately I would not return (apart from a day trip) as everywhere shuts up way too early. Couldn't get an evening meal anywhere after 7pm or even buy a pint of milk if you ran out as all shops shut late afternoon. Even the shop advertised as closing g at 9pm was all locked up by 8.15pm. Saw people looking for an evening meal at 7.30pm being told they'd have to go to the next town. There is an evening sunset boat trip which returns at 9.30pmish and they were all looking for somewhere to get a drink when they got off but all bars were locked up (it was still light outside in June)! Only suitable to stay if you are in bed by 7.30pm. Such a shame as it is a lovely place. To sum it up as overheard by a local barmaid "I don't know why people come to Wells".

Good sandy beach. Fish and chip shops and amusements.
Good sandy beach. Fish and chip shops and amusements. Gets very busy in summer and difficult to park. Car parks expensive as if you want to visit the quay and the beach you have to pay for two car parks as they they are a long walk from each other.

Love Wells next the Sea, will return again.
Love Wells next the Sea, will return again. Great place if you have a dog as virtually all pubs and cafes are dog friendly. Great beach to exercise the dog.
The Globe Pub has excellent food. The Edinburgh pub and Ollies also really good value for money.

We have visited Wells on two occasions and like the friendliness of the people, the parking and local facilities are excellent. the quayside is charming and not too commercialised. the town is just the right size for meandering around with some nice little shops to browse.

Wells is the perfect location for visiting the North Norfolk coast. It has everything you need for a great stay. The Coastliner bus is brilliant for getting around, enabling you to walk along the coast and get a ride back. This was our second stay in Wells and we will definitely be back.

Everything was clean and up to date. But mostly it was the view from both the french windows and the sitting room which are not clearly enough shown on the listing.
Photo attached taken in the winter morning at mid tide - Nice of them to arrange a stunning morning rainbow!
Otherwise convenient location and Wells Next the Sea is lovely. We walked out and along the beach , ate some great seafood and visited Holt, Blakeney and Sheringham , but lots to visit in this flat uncommerciialised part of the UK.
The room was really cute and comfortable and cosy has everything you needed, with coffee machine, TV etc. It was really nicely decorated and furnished, modern and bright. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was great and was a cut above the usual hotel buffet. A really good choice of options, very delicious. Would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend.
Excellent booking in process followed by the best Full English Breakfast I have ever experienced when staying over at either a B&B or Hotel.
Julia is an excellent host and her attention to detail is second to none.
When in Wells Next The Sea again, we will definitely try and book at the Armeria!
Fantastic little gem of a hotel, staff incredibly friendly and accommodating, great food, great atmosphere, great room (we were in The Attic). Will definitely choose Bang In The Wells again next time we’re up that way, perfect getaway for a couple of nights :-)
Everything the location is fabulous. Having a garden for the dog is great and parking for at least 3 cars at the back of the property is a plus for Wells Next the Sea!
