It was nice in general, the room was basic but comfortable and had everything I needed for an overnight stay. The staff were nice and the breakfast was decent.

Very clean and beautifully appointed, nice bar area. The 'Butlers Room' on the first floor is a nice touch where hotel guests can get ice & water, and top up on milk and biscuits. I understand that they have recently refurbished the whole building and they have done a very good job of it.

The warm welcome.
The room was ready before time.
The room was clean and airy.
The young MacKenzies at the bar knowledge of cocktails was unbelievable as was Tara's service at the table.
The breakfast that was included was really good.

I was brought up in Ware from 1962 and left in 2010. Quite shocked at the amount of buildings springing up all over the place. Traffic is bad at peak times. Shopping is restricted to manly charity shops. A few good quality pubs, bars and restaurants still remain. A once vibrant market is virtually non-existent.
I only return for family reunions.

I lived in Hertford for years so was visiting friends. Ware is now a far nicer town than Hertford (for a long time it was the other way round). Lots of nice bars, pubs, restaurants etc.
Nice place.

Compact but attractive own with many nice old buildings with a good choice of shops, pubs and restaurants. The musem, churches and river also gives it a greater sense of place.
The good rail link alao means that London is only 50 odd minutes away.
The only main problem is, at times, the heavy traffic going through the high street.

Really enjoyed my stay in this cute (not so) little 1 bed apartment right in the centre of Ware. The place was warm, comfortable and very well equipped and the landlord was beyond helpful with any requests I had. left something behind when I checked out and they were in contact within hours to let me know and organise postage back to me - a much appreciated extra mile from them to ensure my stay was up to standard. I'll be working in the area in future and will be disappointed if I can't get the chance to stay here again.
The location was exceptional. Breakfast was good. General hotel was beautiful. Given the very high cost the rooms were a disappointment. They were small, had no refrigeration facility and no opportunity to use air conditioning.
