Great location, modern, clean, self check in, lots of space (entire house) & very private, would recommend

Wallasey is my birth & childhood town so holds good memories. Like most modern day towns its shops have declined in Liscard the once larger shopping area & closed due I suppose to on line shopping but there are several large supermarkets locally albeit requiring a car. There are smaller convenience stores dotted about.
New Brighton has been revamped & houses many cafes, restaurant's & bars, we had an evening meal in the seahorse which was great value & decent pub food. The waiting room cafe on Victoria Road also to be recommended for snacks or breakfast. New Brighton still has the boating lake, vast promenade & parks & open areas. The town also has lots of take aways. My granddaughter enjoyed visiting all the mermaid statues dotted about.
You can take a ‘Ferry across the Mersey’ from Seacombe from 10am-4pm approx £12 via a river cruise or outwith this time straight across with commuters.
Regular bus service operates to wider areas.
Accommodation is quite limited with only one Travelodge in Wallasey , in New Brighton & limited guest houses. The area feels safe enough although I wasn’t out at night.
There appears to be a lot of regeneration with modern newly built housing & flats. Traffic & residential parking is heavy at times & although most roads now restricted to 20mph some traffic remains fast especially along the promenade. I think Wallasey still has a lot to offer & with New Brighton & good commuter links to Liverpool is a better more affordable option.

We came for a show in New Brighton, we stayed 2 nights & enjoyed it apart from the place where we'd originally booked as it was filthy. We had to book alternative accommodation as it was unlivable.

What I'm used to really.
What I'm used to really. It's a small town on the outskirts of a big city. Just what you would expect. Nice little park across the road from where we stayed which we could walk through to get to the docks.
Lovely little micro pub called The Drunken Landlord.

It was filthy.
It was filthy. Not the odd thing missed as there were cobwebs. Dirty oven, microwave and sofa heavily stained. I’ve date stamped photos to prove the state of the property. No lightbulb in the landing so it was also unsafe. Outside bins overflowing! Bath hadn’t been cleaned and we won’t even talk about the toilet! The property is not maintained they just take money without caring about the state it’s let out in. I’m a landlord myself and they just give us a bad name.

Wallasey is a poor downtrodden working-class community that nevertheless has great amenities. There is a river walk along the Mersey, perfect for hiking/biking. There are paths high above the sea for walking. The houses are wonderful ~ old-fashioned 1890s to 1930s. It is really easy to get to Liverpool. The sea air is marvelous. Marine Point is a great place for dining, coffee or shopping for groceries. The historical buildings from the early 19th century are great.

What an absolute gem! Situated on the water's edge with amazing views over to Liverpool. The room is exceptionally cosy with everything you need there including several extras you don't usually get in this kind of accommodation; microwave, wine cooler, wide assortment of teas & coffees and even some snacks. Having our own entrance with private courtyard was a bonus too. As an extra surprise, I had mentioned it was my birthday and was given a card & gift :) We will definitely be back...thank you Dawn & Steve
Central location. Room with a sea view and balcony as specified. Unusual decor which we loved. Very comfortable and spacious bed. In the heart of New Brighton. Owners very attentive. Attention to detail, cosy, homely room. Early check in and late check out perfect. Very good value for money we will be back. Loved New Brighton.
The place was perfect for me and my son to stay whilst we went to Anfield for the football. Beds really comfy and having the outside space was nice.
Bakery next door is lovely and the Indian down the road was great. Only a 10 min walk to the beach and the train station with a 20 minute train to Liverpool.
flat was nice with a washer dry which came in handy as I dropped a few tops into a puddle outside.
handy for seacome ferry to get you to liverpool 5 minute walk and close to family I was visiting.
