St Moritz Hotel, hotel in Wadebridge

With views over the Camel Estuary and Atlantic Ocean, St Moritz Hotel features a spa with indoor and outdoor pool, gym and tennis courts.

The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The hotel is undergoing a refurbishment but this didn't impact the stay other than no indoor pool (which we knew about beforehand). The outdoor pool was still open and was warm. The facilities, bar, restaurant and location were fantastic and we would definitely return.

The Camping site is very close to the B3314 road, which makes it very easy to find. The quiet of 10 Trehawks was quite overwhelming. It was a real oasis. The cabin is ideally situated with a restful view and other dwellings not really noticeable. It only takes a 10 minute car drive to reach Rock, New Pozeath, Pentire, Greenaway and Daymer Bay Beaches. Wadebridge is close too, for shopping, with good choice food shops, (providing the Trewornan bridge is not shut, as it was last year in May!) On Sunday, the Connect Church, in Wadebridge has an excellent 10a.m.service. Harbour Cove has a beautiful sandy beach. We take our camping chairs and spend the whole day there! No, we don't eat out! We take a picnic with us and make an evening meal in the cabin.

Wadebridge is a lovey place to look around - plenty of shops, cafes and a few pubs. Lovely area as a base for walking - Camel trail and other local estuary walks. The Ship Inn had great staff, good atmosphere and lovely food . The Grannary was also a good lunch point . We did visit Wadebridge inthe evening as well but felt less comfortable than the daytime - football / rugby on at the time though.

Many little independent shops, a lovely old bridge over the estuary, a good bus service and the beautiful Camel trail to nearby Padstow. Can recommend the Tiny Thai restaurant. Great food and friendly staff.

Wadebridge is a town with a good infrastructure (variety of shops, supermarkets, restaurants) and well connected by bus services, if you want to walk on the Camel trail and return by bus. The Camel trail is ideal for cycling or walking. You can quickly get to other places of interest (e.g. Padstow, Port Isaac, Tintagel, Lanhydrock House, Newquay), which makes it an ideal base for sightseeing in that particular area of Cornwall.

It is a good central area for exploring both coast and countryside. It is also close to the Cornwall County Show showground for visitors attending that event. Truro and the Cathedral are only 30 minutes away.

We had close access to Padstowe, Rock, Polzeath and all the coast, but allowed us to take a breather from the full on height of season tourist areas. Trewarnon Manor was perfect, huge garden area and plenty of on site parking.

Absolutely stunning stay. We stayed in the main hotel, and within a quick 30 seconds walk you had everything at your finger tips, swimming pool, spa, restaurant etc. A lot of reviews say that the place could do with a lick of paint, I have an eagle eye for that type of thing and honestly couldn’t spot a single part of the property that needed attention! Everything was clean, tidy and looked smart. The staff from the moment we arrived to when we left were polite and cheerful, could fault the service at all!

The found the house very clean and absolutely tidy. It is located on an estate, but the neighbourhood is very quiet. The view from the balcony upstairs onto the river and the surrounding fields is very nice. Both the garden and the balcony get the sun in the afternoon and evening so that it is pleasantly warm. The centre of Wadebridge is within walking distance, which saves additional parking fees. The house is directly on the Camel trail so that you can start your cycling / hiking from the doorstep.

a great little hotel / bar. I was very wary when I first entered as it is obviously a main local drinking establishment. However, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food and service excellent. Room clean and comfortable and to good standard. Thank you for a great stay. I posted my keys through the letter box as I didn't want to leave the back door unlocked.

This is a lovely hotel. We’ve stayed several times before but were disappointed with the room this time. Small, far too hot (even tho we turned the heating off), no air con, restricted opening on one window, the other was locked)
