Stayed here previously prior to COVID and has since declined. Limited menu in the evening, which finished at 6 p.m. even though we had an accepted booking for 6 p.m. We were advised to order very quickly or visit the pub down the road. All of this is different to advertised in the room information and on the website. Beds were uncomfortable and were on wheels, so any slight movement meant a quick slide across the floor, there was no wifi in the room, broken curtain pole, so could not close them properly and no body wash, which you would expect for the price you pay. I would not stay here again.

It was our first visit but will not be our last.
It was our first visit but will not be our last. It was BEAUTIFUL! It was called “Usk in bloom” and a lot of the houses had displays outside the front of their homes.
There were really old buildings, including churches, just begging to be looked around, if only we had the time. There are a lot of local walks, with shops in the village for provisions. There are several eateries to enjoy. They have a bakery in the village providing fresh sourdough bread, etc.
This is a place that we have agreed to come back to and that time, we will stay longer!

Really enjoyed the quaint town Usk.
Really enjoyed the quaint town Usk. Very beautiful place and you can see people take pride in their homes and gardens. Stayed at The Castle Inn which was excellent! Right in the heart of Usk, dog-friendly, lovely owners, very clean rooms, plenty of free parking around!
Very easy to walk around Usk - nice walks, pubs, restaurants and fish and chips. I look forward to returning to Usk in the future!

Seemed short on staff.
Seemed short on staff. Restaurant service was extremely slow. Waited 90 minutes for food. Pool was cold. We were warned that jacuzzi was not functioning heat-wise but the pool was too cold to relax in.
Great location and setting. Staff pleasant and helpful.

Great little town, with everything you could need and wonderful ancient castle ruins. Brilliant location, between the beautiful Wye valley to the East and Brecon Beacons to the West and, although it is a town very much centred in the countryside, it is quickly accessible from motorways. I'll be going back for a longer stay, I hope!

Lovely village lots to look around.
Lovely village lots to look around. Went to the Castle very interesting. Had a walk down by the river. Fish and chips shop very close by and they were very tasty. Well worth a visit wish we had had longer there. Quite a few pubs and little shop's and eating place's.
Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Good breakfast and 2 real ales (Wye Valley - but not for breakfast ;-). Good clean rooms with comfortable beds. Special screen in the function room for the England Wales 6 Nations match and with table service. The hotel is well presented and maintained throughout.
The location is stunning, very quiet and so much space inside and outside. Really cannot fault anything.
A 10 minute ride into Usk which has superb pub/restaurants and lovely local shops, but easy to get Abergavenny, Monmouth, Newport will definitely return.
Charming small “ mansion”, Hotel. Our bathroom was newly fitted out and with all the latest facilities. The staff were very helpful. The town of Usk is only a five minute walk away with an interesting historical castle. Parking was plentiful.
The restaurant was amazing, the staff were very friendly and gave us good recommendations for places to visit.
The area around the hotel was stunning and there were plenty of things to do within a reasonable drive.
Great location close to the centre of Usk. Off road parking ideal for my 4.9m van. Fabulous king-size bed in the main bedroom, very comfortable. Garden ideal for my little dog.
