The location is absolutely spectacular. I can’t imagine staying any other place in Newcastle, and it matches or exceeds any other place I have stayed. The quaintness of the cottage, the view of the entrance to the Tyne, the ruins of the castle, to the north, the field with its benches, upon which to sit with coffee and take in the peace of the water and the souls who have come before is unparalleled.

Breakfast was great! Made it myself in the kitchen.
Location was very good, close to Front St, Tynemouth.
Short walk to Metro, stores, historic Tynemouth Castle and coast.
Wish I had time to stay there longer than the 2 days I had available.
I am looking forward to staying there next time I get back to UK.

Spacious apartment, high ceilings, tasteful artwork, had everything we needed for self catering. Dining table was laid out ready for us with a lit Christmas tree warming the window. Beautiful views across the beach. 5 minutes walk to Tynemouth shops and bars. Ideal.

I booked this hotel for my parents and the staff were so kind and accommodating to my father who is blind. My parents had a wonderful stay and plan to stay here again in the future.

For us it was near to family so we were able to share with them and treat them in the hotel for meals and we visited local shops etc. We enjoyed walking along the prom. and visited Seaton Sluce, Blythe & Whitley Bay.
Bus services are good if you do not have own transport, Metro also good.

My first time in Tynemouth.
My first time in Tynemouth. It's a really pleasant, attractive little place, easy to walk and cycle around, fantastic beaches and sea views, and a thriving high street with posh places to eat and drink.

Tynemouth has beautiful beaches and views, with plenty of pubs with real ale and cafes. Great place to visit as day trip from Newcastle on the Metro, or as stopping off point on coastal walk/cycle.

I have visited Tynemouth on previous occasions though this was the first time i had stayed there. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate on this occasion but from experience Tynemouth is an excellent place for a relaxing break.
There are coastal walks and History in the town which is very well kept. Also there are several places of interest to visit nearby and the centre of Newcastle is a 20 minute ride on the Metro.

Beautifully presented, immaculately clean cottage, ideally located for Tynemouth, Cullercoats and Whitley Bay. Literally a few metres from the beach in a quiet spot. The furnishings, kitchen and appliances all felt new and relatively unused (everything matched!). The host was quick and helpful in communication, kindly left some items in the fridge to give a good start. We wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Really good choice for families, next door to playground and boating lake/golf and mid-point between Whitley and Tynemouth. Perfect new promenade along the length of the coast provides safe walking for families and pets. Hotel refurbed and was really comfy, spacious and food was decent. We would definitely go back here.
Location was excellent, straight across the road from the beach where we could take our dog. Not far to walk to Tynemouth centre. Free parking was a bonus.
