Marine Troon, hotel in Troon (United Kingdom)

The 5-star Marine Hotel is a grand building with views over the Firth of Clyde towards the Isle of Arran, overlooking Royal Troon Golf Course.

Amazing view and comfortable room, spacious with amenities! But what makes it stand out are the exceptional staff both at the front desk and the restaurants. They accommodated requests and made arrangements where ever possible. The common areas are also perfect to hang out in windy or rainy days!

Troon in October is a lovely quiet town with the advantage of being on the coast. Really liked the Harbour bar - great band on, on saturday night. Ate at the Lido Troon, which was very cool, great service and good food. Scotts was a lovely restaurant. I went to Dumfries House and walked Ness Glen - beautiful.

I was born and brought up in Troon so I am biased.

I was born and brought up in Troon so I am biased. Troon is a lovely seaside town full of lovely freindly people. The town has a decent selection of shops. I found the town very quiet compared to how it was when I grew up.

Lovely wee coastal town with good eateries for every pocket...

Lovely wee coastal town with good eateries for every pocket and nice wee independent shops to explore. Swimming pool, library, pretty town hall and two scenic beaches. Troon is within easy reach of other Ayrshire seasde towns like Prestwick and Ayr. Kilmarnock is also within reach and Glasgow is an easy drive up the M77. However there is a train station too and if you enjoy golf you'll be spoilt Parking in the town is free and plentiful. Not a review of Troon per se but to holiday letters in general - these key boxes are murder on arthritic fingers - I have a splt fingernail with underlying blood blister to prove it. Ouch! Also note to Booking.com - please don't put a union flag beside my name in the reviews! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 FOREVER.

The food was imaginative, delicious and the chef met every one of my companion’s food allergies! The staff was very friendly and very professional. The room was lovely! There was no mold which was another allergy. Car park was on the property and the beach was across the street. It was exceptional!

My husband, Colin and I, love Troon.

My husband, Colin and I, love Troon. We live in Glasgow and it only takes about 40 minutes to get there, so we go as often as we can. There are excellent charity shops and a great travel agency (Stewart Travel) where we book all our holidays. We love the beach and the ice cream kiosk and on the first of every month there is an indoor car boot sale in the town hall. My husband loves the Pavillion chip shop and he also stays in Troon each winter for Winterstorm Rock Festival. I'm afraid I can't recommend the 3 Idiots Restaurant, as the food is overpriced and not very nice, and the service is dreadful. Avoid this place like the plague and you'll have a great time in Troon!

Hidden gem in Troon! Highly recommend for a short break or longer. Ideal base for someone working temporarily in the area. Living area is lovely, bedroom and bathroom are stunning. There is nothing I can fault this place with. Communication was great with the owners. The decor of the whole home is impressive.

This is a great location for golf hungry people. There are so many options for the golfer in your group and there are varying prices to pay, from 30 pounds to 300 pounds. The town of Troon is quaint and like the rest of Scotland the architecture is beautiful.

This is a small hotel with a tremendous history and heritage - the hotel is over 200 years old and has a fantastic story to tell. This establishment is part of the history of golf in Scotland.
