Beautiful location, first class meticulously clean accommodation with everything so well appointed & many extras. Having Scott’s on-site with fabulous food and drinks was the icing on the cake.

Electric key safe outside door was so easy to open, apartment was very nicely equipped and looked very modern. Kitchen was very well equipped and had everything you could need. Bed was comfortable and clean. Both Bathrooms were also very clean and well equipped. The one thing I loved is the fact that the host keeps the remotes in a new ziplock bag so they can be used without touching, it is said to be the dirties part of any house or hotel room, saying that the remotes were or looked new. Nice big tv and lovely fireplace. Quiet location with no noise from outside or anywhere else. I would highly recommend staying here, it’s not cheap but it’s worth every penny. We were here for 3 weeks and didn’t have one problem or regret. Host has done a great job and can’t thank him enough.

I was born and brought up in Troon so I am biased. Troon is a lovely seaside town full of lovely freindly people. The town has a decent selection of shops. I found the town very quiet compared to how it was when I grew up.

Lovely wee coastal town with good eateries for every pocket...
Lovely wee coastal town with good eateries for every pocket and nice wee independent shops to explore. Swimming pool, library, pretty town hall and two scenic beaches. Troon is within easy reach of other Ayrshire seasde towns like Prestwick and Ayr. Kilmarnock is also within reach and Glasgow is an easy drive up the M77. However there is a train station too and if you enjoy golf you'll be spoilt Parking in the town is free and plentiful.
Not a review of Troon per se but to holiday letters in general - these key boxes are murder on arthritic fingers - I have a splt fingernail with underlying blood blister to prove it. Ouch!
Also note to Booking.com - please don't put a union flag beside my name in the reviews!

The food was imaginative, delicious and the chef met every one of my companion’s food allergies!
The staff was very friendly and very professional. The room was lovely! There was no mold which was another allergy. Car park was on the property and the beach was across the street. It was exceptional!

My husband, Colin and I, love Troon.
My husband, Colin and I, love Troon. We live in Glasgow and it only takes about 40 minutes to get there, so we go as often as we can. There are excellent charity shops and a great travel agency (Stewart Travel) where we book all our holidays. We love the beach and the ice cream kiosk and on the first of every month there is an indoor car boot sale in the town hall. My husband loves the Pavillion chip shop and he also stays in Troon each winter for Winterstorm Rock Festival. I'm afraid I can't recommend the 3 Idiots Restaurant, as the food is overpriced and not very nice, and the service is dreadful. Avoid this place like the plague and you'll have a great time in Troon!

Hidden gem in Troon! Highly recommend for a short break or longer. Ideal base for someone working temporarily in the area. Living area is lovely, bedroom and bathroom are stunning. There is nothing I can fault this place with. Communication was great with the owners. The decor of the whole home is impressive.
Good position just outside Troon. Good car park. Made welcome on arrival. Room on 2floor clean comfortable beds & all the basic needs.
Evening meal had in the Inns restaurant good menu choice, staff friendly and pleasant.
Breakfast served in the same area good choice of hot & cold breakfast items.
Beautiful location, it was a perfect last stop on our trip around Scotland. The views were lovely from the Swimming pool and breakfast room. We had a game of pool while enjoying a drink before heading into Troon for a meal. We will definitely be back for another visit.
I have already completed extensive feed back to the Anchorage hotel via Booking .com
