Pendley Manor, hotel in Tring

This splendid manor house is set in 35 acres of wooded parkland and offers modern facilities in historic surroundings. The property boasts an indoor pool and a gymnasium.

The accessible room was very big and comfortable. It was nice to have three comfortable chairs to choose from to sit in the room. The bathroom was spotless and, again, very big. Shower was powerful. Staff were very, very helpful and so welcoming. Food was top notch. The swimming pool was lovely.

Champneys Tring, hotel in Tring

Set in the idyllic Hertfordshire countryside, Champneys Tring health resort has modern rooms in a classic English stately home.

Lunch, dinner and Breakfast were good however my husband could only have toast and cereal for breakfast as he didn’t like any of the hot options, which were rice, scrambled eggs and tinned tomatoes. I know it’s a health spa but maybe offer poached eggs or beans to be able to have on toast.

We didn't stay on for breakfast, however the variety available would have been fine. Our stay was due to playing music in the Con Club next door so ir was a perfect location.

    Tring is a small town.

Tring is a small town. It has some good pubs and, of course, the country outpost of the Natural History Museum, which is worth a visit, along with The Tring Brewery. The railway station is 2 miles away, so bear that in mind if you're not driving.

I booked a nights stay for my fiancés christmas present.

I booked a nights stay for my fiancés christmas present. We arrived to a very basic and extremely dated room, with mould all over the shower, grotty plugs and zero warmth and the decor goes back to the 70s. We only had one towel to share in the bathroom. The spa area was very small and over crowded with people, the sauna and steam room was so busy people were standing up inside. We were not able to relax or enjoy any of the facilities The sauna was warm at its best, the cold plunge wasn’t cold and the steam room wasn’t hot. The whole area stunk We went to the cafe on site to get a drink, again over crowded, very young staff who were talking amongst themselves when we were all waiting to be served. The waitress took my order while her colleague was asking if he could clock off. She spilt my fiancés coffee and my overpriced juice tasted shocking The dinner menu was very minimal with not many options to get excited about we ended up venturing 10 minutes out in the car to a lovely italian restaurant as we were starving when we returned we wanted to get a hot drink and sit somewhere, there was one room crammed with people playing board games and a piano player was the entertainment but no sign of drinks to order. I ended up asking a staff member to which they said the cafe is closed…. We ended up going to bed and even that was awful. The bed was so hard, we struggled to sleep and both woke with sore backs. I was so disappointed with this stay as I have been to Champneys in Forest Mere and it was very nice. But due to this being the flagship I thought it would be next level luxury especially after the price I paid. I would not recommend they need a whole refurbishment, new food menus, bigger facilities and then high end finishes .

Enjoyed some of the pubs in the town plus the excellent "Olive Limes" Indian restaurant which I would highly recommend. There were buses to other local towns such as Aylesbury although the buses seemed to stop running after 7pm!

Nice little town, with an excellent local Brewery and Farm Shop opposite Tesco's. Also, craft Gin bar hidden up an alleyway near top of High Street car park. Small local market with great cheese stall, some good local restaurants and have to recommend the Cog Cafe who went out of their way to accommodate us as a large group and served delicious cakes with wonderful smiley service.

    Lovely town with beautiful buildings.

Lovely town with beautiful buildings. Some great little shops for having a good rummage in. Found the hidden little gem that is The Craftyard off the High Street which offers a tremendous array of different Gins - you are truly spoilt for choice - also beers.

The staff were ok, we felt they could have been more welcoming. Lunch was so disappointing. A ham sandwich cost £8.50 and was basic bread served with basic crisps and no salad. As we had alos booked dinner we felt that we had maybe made a mistake but our dinner was lovely and the waiting staff very friendly and professional.

A lovely hotel in such a beautiful scenic setting. The hotel is beautiful and clean. Staff were great and ready to help. The family room was large and spacious for a group of 5 of us (2 adults and 3 small children). The grounds of the hotel were lush with numerous peacocks roaming around. The spa and pool facilities were as expected. Breakfast was great compared to other cheaper chains.
