Lovely property, nicely decorated and the owners left some nice touches for us and the dog. Very thoughtful of them. Comfortable bed. Great location for local amenities including great restaurants and bars. The water meadows is right across the road so perfect for walking the dog. Towcester is also a great location for getting around the wider area as it’s on the A5. You can be in Milton Keynes in 20 mins and Bicester village for shopping in 25 mins.

The Old Chapel Stoke Bruerne, hotel in Towcester

Featuring a garden, The Old Chapel Stoke Bruerne offers accommodations in Towcester. With garden views, this accommodation features a patio.

This is a real true gem. Wonderful location within walking distance to two lovely local pubs , a canal and locks with walkways, coffee shop and museum.. the Old Chapel was an absolute delight to stay there . Elaine, Nadia & Carol made our stay exceptional. They gave us the Wisteria room , beautifully furnished with just everything you could wish for. Very clean , comfortable, light and a lovely view of the rear patio garden. The room and bathroom are spacious and very well equipped. We arrived and were instantly greeted by Carol , who showed us our room and all the extra things like extra coffee machines, teas , coffee, soft drinks, and an honesty bar . Fridge with our fresh milk , water, orange juice etc . Also great info about where to go out and about , which we explored and thoroughly enjoyed. Our room had just so much ...good quality teas, coffees, sweets, fresh fruit, chocolate bars, crisps, and beautiful fresh made lemon cake ( on our second day every thing replenished with an added special treat of chocolates brownies and gingerbread biscuits). There was even a box of popcorn to enjoy watching Netflix on your TV.. Everything was perfectly thought out. A lot of love and care has been put into this lovely B & B. Breakfast arrived discreetly outside our room in a large picnic basket and this was a WOW ..fresh sandwiches, pastries, yogurt, muesli, croissants, jam, cereal and fruit. All beautifully wrapped separately and presented. We would shout out from the roof tops about this as a number 1 place to stay in the area. Thank you so much for making our weekend so special. A lovely country pub. It was perfect for my needs. Breakfast was a little quirky as a few more instructions would have eased the use of the breakfast room, but I managed. For my next visit it will be easy.

The hotel has impressive views of the race track if you book a king track room. Breakfast was lovely. Staff pleasant. Resteraunt over priced and not much to do there in the evenings entertainment wise.

A lovely High Street with lots of different shops.

A lovely High Street with lots of different shops. A good scattering of restaurants, especially the Truva, a Turkish restaurant. genuinely authentic Turkish food (I have lived in Turkey). Alleyways and side streets to explore. And of course Siverstone race circuit is nearby and the lovely Northamptonshire countryside

Stayed in Towcester - an area I knew well as we had lived close by 20 years ago. We were reuniting with old friends for a night out so The Saracen’s was well located. It is an old coaching inn which has been refurbished over the years and was very welcoming. Our room was small but ok but we had problems with the bathroom ( shower leaked and flooded the floor), comfortable enough for a one night stay.

The place is in Stoke Bruerne, about 3 miles from Towcester.

The place is in Stoke Bruerne, about 3 miles from Towcester. It is right on the banks of the canal and the museum. Boat rides can be taken from just outside the back gate. Lovely walks along the tow paths. Two local pubs within a couple of minutes walk, which are fine and a good Indian restaurant although we ate in Towcester itself, which was a five minute drive. Very good.

We liked the peaceful location, the area around the farm was lovely and we could walk where we wanted, to the lake, fields and stables. The accommodation was spotless and perfect and the host was friendly and welcoming. Ideal location for Silverstone, Towcester racecourse, 1/2 hour from Bletchley Park, 20 min from Northampton. Supermarkets, garage, excellent fish and chips shop (marlins) 10 min away. Although we didn't try it there was a pub at the top of the lane to the farm.
