We ate a greek restaurant on the first night called Ephesus, just down the hill. Very good. We ate fish and chips ( first one nearest to the ten pin bowling alley as we enjoyed a walk around the bay, listening to the Christmas music and decorations. Torquay is well known for it's hills, but if you stay around the centre it's not a problem for those of us who are unfit! Buses are everywhere, so no problem there. As we were only there for 2 nights we had no need to go bowling or visit the cinema or watch a pantomime. We are of an age were we don't do disco's and 'young' pubs. Plenty of these around. We found a lovely pub called Hole in the Wall. Great atmosphere and what looked like a fab restaurant.

Torquay otherwise know as the English Riviera is a lovely place to visit. Lots of shops bars and restaurants as well as lovely beaches. Lots of areas to visit around Torquay and if you are into cycling, there are lots of cycling lanes. I cycled from my hotel to Brixham which is well worth a visit.

I liked everything about Torquay, aprt from a couple of people having to sleep on the streets.
Torquay should ensure that everyone has a safe and warm place to sleep before spending as much money as they do on providing the wonderful lights in the town.

Torquay is a bit tired; however although quite a few shops were closed down, there was still enough for a day of Christmas shopping and lots of choice for eating out. Christmas lights and entertainment were lovely. Friendly place to visit; traffic on a Friday night can be a bit grim so give yourself extra time. The number 12 bus goes to Newton Abbot, takes about 30 mins; we didn't go but a local recommended Austins at Newton Abbott. Worth a visit to Trago Mills, also at Newton Abbott. There is a miniature Christmas train too for children young and old.

Amy was very friendly and explained everything about her Hotel. The room and public areas had obviously been recently redecorated to a very high standard. The Breakfast Room and the menu could be faulted. Will come back to The Rosewood if I need to be in Torquay again.
Came to Torquay with my mum to watch a show at The Princess Theatre. The hotel is perfectly located for ease of access to the centre of Torquay and the marina. Our room was huge! Had a double and single bed with a lounge area and views of the sea, perfect!
