i loved seeing my relatives even though it was for a very sad occasion, the weatherspoons pub was great and the pub just a bit along the road on the opposite side called the seven stars i think, definatly something stars anyway. All the people i came across in tiverton were friendly and polite, bought back great memories of when i was growing up as we used to visit the area almost every year visiting our lovely family in rackenford and tiverton, A huge difference to Luton Where i born and bought up !

Tiverton buildings were full of character as we walked around the so called town but not much to do I thought Tiverton was something of nothing really, not for me but go yourself and see what you think as we have all different expectations

The town is a bit down at heel, we found a great Italian restaurant though, might have been called ponte vechio, can't remember, tourist office is now in the museum, sadly the museum costs £8.50 with no discounts which I think is too expensive.
We did a self guided town tour and there are interesting buildings / histoy but no buildings open
They have a variety of shops including a department store, tesco m and s
Wetherspoons does cheap meals but is very busy and a dark building but ok for lunch

Tiverton is a lovely market town with plenty of branded shops as well as local businesses.
There is a cinema offering the latest films, a museum, plenty of parking.
Lots of cafes offering home baked goodies, local bakeries with an array of delectable produce....
People were very friendly and welcoming.
Close to the motorway enabling travel to nearby towns and a great rail connection at Tiverton Parkway.

We live just over the Devon border in Somerset and Tiverton is a good location to shop if you want to go to different supermarkets or the indoor market for local produce. We went for an event, held in the pannier market, which was full of stalls and good food and drinks vendors. It is easy to get around Tiverton and people are friendly and helpful. Fantastic Tiverton Museum and trips along the Grand Western Canal Country Park.

Tiverton hotel and Venue is in a great location and had plenty of room and a friendly, hardworking staff with decent food. The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable over our three week stay. Tiverton is well worth visiting with plenty to enjoy including walks along an old train line, an exquisite Indian restaurant called Gwalior, a historic town centre and a canal nearby.
Lovely location, just outside Tiverton, with onward access across the national park and 50 mins from coast. Sheila and her husband were warm and welcoming and put on a wonderful, locally sourced full English breakfast with all the trimmings. The ground coffee was s Lovely touch too.
