The hosts were so welcoming and kind, easy going to talk to and very helpful. I personally loved the fresh clean and soft bed linen. Room and bed very spacious. It’s a beautiful home. Breakfast was really nice, well laid out and peaceful.

Total peace and quiet.
Total peace and quiet. Side roads need care, 20mph in many places. Tisbury village lovely, coffee shop and church, visited Old Wardour Castle, Salisbury Market and Cathedral ( by bus) Shaftesbury, Wilton House and most beautiful Wilton garden centre. Tried several public footpaths which are in abundance. Met some lovely people too, even if trespassing by accident on their land. Plus James May’s Royal Oak at Swallowcliffe. Worth a visit to view the Oak Room and beautiful furniture, within walking distance across fields “if you are lucky” and many beautiful horses to watch plus other creatures. A magical 6 nights.

Lovely village full of character, beautiful views and lovely...
Lovely village full of character, beautiful views and lovely old buildings. The locals are friendly, and the small shops are excellent. Some great pubs and takeaways, too! The surrounding countryside is out of this world, with lots of public footpaths to explore. Just an awesome part of the beautiful English countryside to get out into.

We are walkers so this is a great area for us to visit.
We are walkers so this is a great area for us to visit. However, there are plenty of attractions nearby. Stonehenge, Salisbury etc.
We were primarily there to attend a family wedding at Old Wardour Castle which is worth a visit.
We were self catering so I cannot comment on the restaurants or pubs but there were plenty around.

Tisbury is a great village to visit.
Tisbury is a great village to visit. It has a couple of pubs (the Boot Inn has proper real ale served from the barrel). There are many interesting shops including a couple of coffee shops and delis. Great walks can be taken to explore the surrounding area. It has a regular train service into Salisbury, so you can go out for a day or night without driving.

Lovely village in delightful countryside.
Lovely village in delightful countryside. There is a post office, supermarket with a cashpoint, fish and chip shop, chemist and great tearoom....Beatons Nearby are lovely pubs and Old Wardour Castle. It does not take long to get to Salisbury, Longleat or to the South Coast.
Surrounding lanes are narrow and careful driving is needed but you pass through some charming villages.

Hare Lodge is a large comfortable modern house just outside Tisbury. Th location is very quiet. Our room was large and the bed was very comfortable. Sue and George are very welcoming hosts and provided excellent continental-style breakfasts. The Lodge is an easy drive to local places to eat and local attractions.
The cottage was warm, comfortable and felt like a home from home! The breakfast was delicious and at a a perfect time! We walked from the Compasses Inn to Tisbury and back again through beautiful countryside, it was an idyllic stay!
Luxury hotel-standard accommodation in a beautiful setting. Lots of thoughtful touches and a super-helpful host. My teens loved seeing the animals too. Highly recommend.
