Days Inn Chesterfield - Tibshelf, hotel in Tibshelf

Between junctions 28 and 29 of the M1 motorway, this Days Inn hotel offers free parking, modern bedrooms and access to facilities at the Tibshelf Motorway Service Area.

Great welcome from the fabulous reception team at this Days Inn again. They always go the "extra mile" to make a weary traveller feel welcome, including by providing a bottle of water - really appreciated on a hot day. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, the towels fluffy, and there's a Costa next door for your morning coffee - what's not to like!?

Santo's Higham Farm Hotel, hotel in Tibshelf

In the heart of the Derbyshire countryside, Santo's Higham Farm Hotel has stunning views over the Amber Valley.

Great location with a stunning panoramic view at the end of the car park. Our room was lovely but there was no surfaces, in the bathroom, to accommodate our toiletries. The staff were absolutely wonderful, friendly and very helpful. We would definitely choose to stay there again.

Twin Oaks Hotel, hotel in Tibshelf

Boasting views over Derbyshire and Bolsover Castle, here you can escape the hustle and bustle of city life and benefit from the peace and tranquillity of a rural yet accessible location.

Had to work and the connection to the wifi was very good. Dined on the first night and the food and drink was very good. Didn't have a breakfast so no comment, but I think the price could be reduced as per what some other hotels charge. Room was very good and the bed was comfortable for a good nights sleep

It was a convenient stop over but the hotel was very disappointing as there was no hot water to have a shower in the morning and no one at reception to complain . When I did find someone, I was told to email. The service station had places to get food but a lot of if it was shut later in the evening when I needed it.

Located just off the motorway, small selection of shops/eateries although some close relatively early. Large enough car park with a few disabled spots out front aswell as an electrical charge station just up from the main entrance. Barely hear any noise from the truck stop behind the building, same for the motorway noise.

It was quiet ....... but we booked a 2 double bed room and when arrived it was a 2 single bed room paid more for a room that we didn't have . The lady on reception was not very friendly and when asked about the two double beds was told nothing she could do as the accommodation didn't have double bed rooms and that we would have to contact booking.com as nothing to do with her. So basically she passed the book and blame to someone else

Friendly staff and good location ( if you use the staff service road to come and go rather than motorway which adds loads of extra miles if staying a few days to explore the local area I.e Peak District) Beds poor- felt and could hear the springs clunking Nobody on Reception until check in. Hotel generally needs a refurbishment as looking tired. Booked room with sofa bed but they no longer provide a sofa bed just an additional bed. No fridge if staying a few days. Fan provided on request

if you book this hotel find out if there is to be a party...

if you book this hotel find out if there is to be a party that night! if so, unless you are a party animal and you like attending other people's parties don't book it! The sounds from the pub will be very loud in your room making sleep impossible. If there is no party then I could imagine it's a nice place to stay. It is handy for Bolsover Castle and Hardwick Hall. The landlord is a nice bloke and helpful, He has just spent a lot of money doing the place up and has done a good job. Furthermore, it's a nice pub. Pity about the party and very loud and rather average DJ!

Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean, comfortable with enough facilities. Location by car was excellent, just 1 minute from motorway. Tea and coffee facilities in the room, food from the motorway service building next to the hotel.

the place was OK and the room was very nice but they had a party that night and were getting ready for it. The hotel was in a good state of repair and the room we had was to a good standard, pitty the TV had no remote and couldn't be used.
