We visited Englands rose to split a long journey, hence only staying the one night. The owner could not have been any more accommodating. We were running very late and were way past the check-in time. They very kindly waited for us even though they were shattered after a very busy days work.
The room was clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities. We were gutted that we had missed the bar as it looked lovely with many historical features.
We hadn't booked breakfast(hadn't realised we could). The owner again accommodated our needs and cooked us a full breakfast.....and at a time that suited us. Just a note: if you have any dietary needs, let them know, we forgot to mention that one of our party was vegetarian. Completely an ommission on our part, yet a vegetarian breakfast appeared 😋
We will have to visit again 👍

I had a lovely stay although very short as travelling and staying for work purposes. However the bath plug did not fit and kept emptying the bath. All staff were very pleasent and helpful where needed.

Great town for the day and an overnight stay, but probably lots to do if you wanted an extra night. There are a lot of excellent pubs that also serve food and some decent shops. Very attractive high street and places of interest close by. Everything within walking distance of our hotel The Spread Eagle

Thame is beautiful and historical.
Thame is beautiful and historical. A variety of venues for eating to cater for all tastes and budgets. A lovely market on Tuesdays. The Midsomer guided tour took longer than advertised but was packed with information about the venues used in the series as well as local history

Garden abd breakfast good.
Garden abd breakfast good. Previous reviews said there were problems only food outside was the local services which were good.We complained had a free sandwich meal one night as no real food available ,
Room was 33 degrees due to broken radiator an night manger broke it trying to turn it down
We had a few reductions to our bill but need more as we had a very unpleasant nights sleep. We were not refreshed at all .
Awaiting reply from the Management who constantly apologies from staff who were struggling to deal with the issues . Or we will contact Hotels .com for advice

Delightful market town with a good market on Tuesdays.
Delightful market town with a good market on Tuesdays. Parking was free and we sampled a couple of local venues for food and refreshments. Town centre is compact and easy to walk around and the Parish Church was open for visits and private prayer.
We enjoyed eating at the La Caravella and the Six Bells and enjoyed good quality food and friendly service at both. Rumseys for hot chocolate is a must!

Although we did`nt have time to fully explore Thame and immediate surrounds we were impressed with the towns nice atmosphere and variety of shops (especially the independents) pubs and restaurants. We particularly liked the thatch house and the james figg pub.Parking was very good and credit to the council for not imposing parking fees.
The location was quiet and there was parking for 2 cars next to each other. It's in a new build housing estate, so only houses. We had some difficulty finding it as Google Maps got very lost, but maybe that was phone signal. It was only a short drive to Thame and Princes Risborough.
Breakfast was great, staff and hotel great, nice and comfy. Food in the dinner restaurant was very over priced in my opinion, I have had better quality food for better prices. All in all very satisfied and will return for future business trips.
Great staff, good room, good bed, easy access to the hotel car park. Breakfast easily available in morning. Evening meal on Thursday was good. Dogs made welcome.
