Good communication with the host, the keys were easily accessible via a lockbox. The cottage is perfectly located in the centre of Teignmouth, opposite the train station and 5 min walk from a big supermarket. The cottage itself was warm, cosy and had everything we needed for our stay. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, bedding and towels. We were provided with tea bags, coffee sachets and milk upon arrival. Beds were very comfortable.
Overlooking the bay just 200 yards from Torre Abbey beach, The Heritage Hotel Complex features a prime south facing location in the heart of Torquay.

A comfortable couple of nights in Torquay in this hotel which is easy walking to the promenade and the town. The room was ideal and breakfast offered plenty of choice in the conservatory dining room/bar with fabulous sea views. Bar serves good food too for dinners. Outside the car park is a bit tight, but a large public car park is available right next to the hotel.
We’d happily come back here if returning to Torquay

We stayed in Shaldon which looks over to Teignmouth, lovely picturesque little village. Attended a family function at the Ness, food great. We also had a special lunch at the Clipper Cafe, also very good. Will definitely visit Shaldon again.

Teignmouth is a clean and friendly little town that is very pleasant to walk around and has pretty much everything needed for a week's stay. It seems to have avoided most of the more tacky shops and amusement arcades of some of the neighbouring towns, plus has a superb promenade and dog-friendly back beach.

Found the town itself pleasant enough but rather dull, although there was an excellent area for young children's play at one end near the pier. Pier was just an an amusement arcade, the rest derelict.
A good base for visiting other areas and as for beach and sitting around at the sea was much quieter and more relaxing than nearby Torquay.
Not many evening restaurants (the Ship pub rather good) but most concentrated on items such as burgers, fish and chips and similar.
Good bus service but does extend travel time if no car.

The location of the cottage was amazing, lots of pubs and restaurants and the facilities of Teignmouth all within easy reach - walking distance. Also very good location for getting out and about and visiting other parts of Devon, Dartmoor, Dartmouth, Drewsteignton, Dawlish and other places that didn't necessarily begin with ‘D’.
The parking permit was extremely handy, sometimes a bit tricky getting a parking space in the Quay Road car park, but we managed fine.
This great house is perfectly situated for the seafront, town and station and it was great to have off-road parking. The house is tastefully decorated and the kitchen is very well equipped. It was clean, warm and comfortable and made a great base for visiting family. We will happily stay again if visiting Teignmouth in future.
Well situated close to seafront and back beach also town , shops and cafes. Tastefully decorated with modern appliances. Everything you could possibly need and some extra treats.
