This is my home town, so I always love to visit as we no longer live in Sunderland. A walk along the prom or the beach, accessible and plenty of coffee stops along the way A walk around the Marina. Coffee and a visit to The Glass Centre - right by the River - where we used to build the ships. The City Museum and its fabulous collection of Sunderland Lustreware The Fans Museum Holy Trinity Church and a walk around 'Old Sunderland' with Trafalgar Square and the Donnison School A visit to Hylton Castle A walk around pretty Whitburn Village

As I had nit visited Sunderland for many years and was there to put my husbands ashes in his mother's grave this does not really apply to me. In the town centre of course I found many things had changed but some sites were still familiar. There were not many good restaurants to choose for an evening meal.

We had a pleasant stay at Sunderland Hotel.

We had a pleasant stay at Sunderland Hotel. It’s a nice, affordable hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Their prices are also very competitive. I enjoyed a nice shower in very clean facilities. I would definitely stay again in future. It has many local shops within walking distance too. The location is great.

We were visiting family so that was why we visited easy to get around we got the train to Newcastle which was easy. Cafe at the Roker beach was good would be nice if someone opened earlier 7:00am for the people who get up early.

We did not go into Sunderland.

We did not go into Sunderland. Seaburn was sufficient for the short stay that we had. A few nice restaurants. We visited the Tram Shelter and would highly recommend it, although they might have limited opening hours during winter. We missed out on trying North at the opposite end of the long easy walked beach or prom . The Seaburn Inn is probably every day regardless of season.

AA Sunderland defrauded me, the hotel doesn't exist, after booking a room with AA Sunderland, a day before my check in the hotel was asking for more additional £50. On the check in day, I called multiple times and no one answered, even when I emailed, I got no reply. Luckily for me, I used Paypal, after investigating the matter, Paypal refunded me in full. Please beware, AA Sunderland is fraud.

We wanted a location on Roker sea front and this flat is ideal being right next to the Roker Hotel. The communication with the host on how to enter the property and parking process was excellent. Kitchen has all facilities you need for a short stay.
