Room was spacious, location was ideal with pleasant outlook onto the river. Restaurant had beautiful view of the river although noise carried considerably as it was so busy. Food was excellent.

The staff are the best asset of this hotel. All were very friendly and accommodating and eager to help you if you had a difficulty. The rooms are beautiful and nicely decorated and put together and the hotel offers rooms of different sizes and prices. The setting for eating breakfast and dinner is lovely - when I booked my rooms I thought it was a little pricey but it was worth it as you get a lovely experience that other such hotels may miss. I may have struck lucky with the staff working on the days I was there but I couldn’t fault them. I will stay there again.

This is a lovely place by the River Thames.
This is a lovely place by the River Thames. The accommodation is very comfortable and the room had a nice outlook. Accommodation is reasonably priced but the meal and bar are a little more expensive than they should be. Staff are lovely and a great credit to management.

We had a great stay at The Swan, the staff very kindly gave us an upgrade to include a bath for partner after he completed a big running race. The room and bathroom were huge, and the staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. Overall our updated room was value for money but hard to say about other smaller rooms. Great location for the restaurant and good value breakfast when included in your stay. Little touches such as no room service for other guests hold this hotel back from being excellent.

Great hotel in a fantastic location on the Thames riverside.
Great hotel in a fantastic location on the Thames riverside. Very good and helpful staff. Parking there is an issue. You are asked if you require onsite parking on booking, but it is not guaranteed and places are quickly filled by diners at busy times, plus function guests, so you can find there are no spaces on site with quite a long trip to find any other space offsite. Guest parking should be prioritised or if it cannot be, then guests should be warned on booking. A real issue for anyone with mobility issues.

There is nothing in Streatley itself apart from an old church and pub. But it merges into Goring which is slightly bigger. Main attraction is walking along the tow path along the river, watching the many boats and canoes sailing past. Lovely walks, people all very friendly - various places to visit within a few miles. Ideal for a couple of nights in good weather.
The Swan has an enviable position overlooking the river with lovely gardens where you can eat & drink watching the boats go by! Open all day for food which is a good standard.
Karen runs a lovely farmhouse B&B in a great location which is really nicely appointed, with super comfortable beds and the service provided is excellent. Her attention to detail for the guests is very thoughtful and considerate of everyone's needs. My Wife is gluten intolerant and Karen arranged Gluten free breakfast options to be available for her. The Breakfasts are amazing!
I would high recommend this place to anyone visiting the Goring/Streatley area. Thanks for the amazing Stay Karen!
Karen is an excellent hostess who make sures that her guests have a relaxing time. The ability to use the kitchen to make some simple refreshments was much appreciated. Karen very kindly provided some gluten free food for breakfast. The property is ideally situated with just a short stroll to the different cafes / pubs in Streatley and Goring.
The YHA was really friendly, and clearly designed to foster a sense of communal use/sharing - whilst also providing plenty of space and privacy. Perfect location for anyone walking the Thames Path or the Ridgeway, or just looking for a comfortable place to explore the stretch of river at Goring and Streatley.
