The property over looks rolling hills and farm pastures and has lovely views from the front of the building. The rooms were incredibly clean and had ample room for our luggage. The breakfast was warm and customized to our needs. Thank you for the lovely stay.

We stayed in the Strathaven as a stop-off between the Scottish Highlands and Yorkshire on a very cold snowy night. The hotel was busy with a Christmas function and other diners but the welcome was attentive and very friendly.
The room was warm and welcoming and a very good standard for staying with our dog. We had room service which was lovely and a great early breakfast. The staff were really chatty and helpful.

Certainly a worth while place to stay.
Certainly a worth while place to stay. However, the impersonal approach I felt was rather unwelcome for a B&B. If you wish to present yourself as a B&B, it is my assumption there is a personal approach and personal touch to it. Not in this case. I regard this as a missed opportunity.

Great value, lovely food, not pretentious. Well cooked. I could have done with a bit more toast with the liver parfait, but actually it was probably enough! Service was particularly worth an accolade. Very friendly.
Open the doors on the lodge and the view is private, not overlooked and absolutely stunning over a valley with a river at the bottom. nice to support a small business rather than a big hotel chain…! set in 22 acres - just stunning.
I have stayed at this particular hotel many times and have always had a great experience, the staff have always been friendly and helpful.
The breakfast is always fresh and hot.
Fantastic place to stay with well-appointed, clean rooms and a great host. The breakfast service was excellent. A really great alternative to chain hotels.
