Thank you Carie Ann for your efficiency with any query. Our very best wishes to Gaye and Ollie for renting out their beautiful cottage. It was a welcome week's retreat for weary travellers who needed to catch up with old friends in the Cotswolds. Your garden is just perfect. Wild flowers, beds of roses, the Burford Brown hens poking around, your beautiful spaniels. The walk through the village on to the Roman Villa at North Leigh was a trip down Memory Lane when we used to take our little girls there. One of them now teaches the history of ancient civilisations! The whole area is stunning. The Duke of Marlborough Hotel, where our daughter stayed, is close to Blenheim and Woodstock, excellent food and service.

A Grade II Listed building, The Bird in Hand offers modern rooms in a traditional setting. The rooms have plasma-screen TVs and there is free Wi-Fi in the all areas.

Nice family-run hotel and restaurant. Our room was well maintained and clean (it was a decent size for 2 adults and 2 children, but not more!) The restaurant is excellent and affordable. We could easily reach Oxford in 30 min by car.

All the staff were particularly welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was good, both dinner and breakfast, and the location was perfect. Our room was lovely - spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel is quirky and individual with great attention to detail and good value for money. We would definitely recommend.

Everything! The staff were welcoming and helpful, room /suite was large and well designed. We stayed in Bleinham, tasteful designed in keeping with the hotel and area , copper bath, large bathroom and good toiletries. Food in the hotel is good quality and has a comfortable bar. Ideal location for visiting Oxford and the surrounding area.

Hotel was great, staff amazing, so friendly and helpful. We had two rooms, 1 double and 1 twin, twin room was downstairs in the courtyard for the dog. Double room was lovely, super comfy bed! Breakfast was lovely, a small buffet but mostly a served menu, good choice of foods 😋 Will definitely go back.
