Visited for one night only to see a show at The Globe Theatre, a wonderfully restored art deco building. Comfortable, great facilities and sound system. Worthwhile following the Riverside walk to the Tees Barage and Infinity Bridge. Millennium Bridge closed for building work during our visit (Nov 2024) Nicely developed town centre and if you like the 'quirky' don't miss the " Stockton Flyer" appearance!

I didn’t see much of it as I was there for one night only. There are undoubtedly parts of the town centre that, like many others, suffers from economic deprivation but the people I met were friendly and welcoming.

Stockton-on-Tees is a sad and neglected part of the UK that has suffered from post-war decline consequent of a lack of investment and centralisation towards the south east. The North East has suffered greatly at the hands of indifferent UK Governments. Stockton town centre today is strangely quiet and has many rough sleepers and working poor. It has some rundown grandeur that must have been impressive 100 years ago and I'm sure that there are some notable highlights in the area, but I didn't have time to see them as I was on a work trip. In my limited experience it's not a particularly enjoyable place to visit, although other opinions may differ.

The attitude and lack of concern for a hotel guest from the restaurant manger by informing me at the last minute no meals available even though a table was booked and accepted also the restaurant did not close till 21:30 and a table was booked for 20:30 and was the only time i was able to book. Booked at around 19:15 and enquired about evening meals when I arrived at 17:00. Told i could use the restaurant at 20:30. Th restaurant manager should not be working in the hospitality industry as he has a total lack of customer skills. I found him unhelpful arrogant and ignorant.. This totally ruined and otherwise pleasant stay as the receptionist and bar staff were very friendly and helpful.

We went to visit family who we've not seen for a time so were focused on that but there is so much beauty in the area, so many places to visit that we didn't get to. Need to go again with a plan of places to go.

The bedrooms were good, but the smaller bedroom was cramp as they have a heater right next to the bed, it is too close, I had to take the mirror down, as it was too loose, & we bumpy into it, & I didn't want to knock it off & break it. The terrace needs the walls plastering & then painting along with the guard rails over the windows & the windows need cleaning, they sorted everything else out for us on the Friday morning.

My family and I were in Stockton for an event and didn't hesitate to book this riverside property again as we had stayed there previously and loved everything about it. The location and the fact that the hosts had thought about everything that we would need. The property was as clean and neat as it was 4 years ago when we stayed over. Besides Andy and Louise are so kind that they didn't let us pay for an item we accidentally damaged while at the property. 100% recommend and we would be staying again when we are next in Stockton.

Friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed. I travel for work and this was in top 3 best value for money hotels I've stayed in anywhere in the UK. It doesn't have a bar but there is a big pub 5 minutes away, along with 4 takeaways and small Sainsbury or Tesco Extra 10 minutes walk. Rooms are clean, everything works, beds are comfortable. Area is very quiet no issues with parking. Will stay again
