Can't fault the Horse and Jockey the pub itself is lovely. My room was very comfortable. Even had a small fridge in it. The shower and toilet rooms were perfect

Nice staff,restaurant and cafe on site. Parking. Always someone on reception.. did move me from lonely location. Good for groups because you could have a corridor of rooms to your group.

There are plenty of food outlets, Indian, fish and chips, Italian and pizza places. Some were closed on a Saturday night which made me wonder if the place doesn't attract enough visitors to sustain all the outlets.

The buses into Nottingham are really good and regular, start...
The buses into Nottingham are really good and regular, start early and finish late and they also go to Derby. Don't rely on cafe's being open, we had to walk some distance past several unopened cafe's before we came to a takeaway with tables that we could get a meal in! Most likely a good place as a base to go elsewhere. There seem to be a plethora of takeaways

Although travelling by car, noticed very close to bus route to Nottingham and Derby, bus stop right outside hotel

The property was easy to find with ample parking.
The rooms are clean and warm with comfortable beds.
There are two takeaways 2 mins away and a pub with a good selection of beers.

Nice area with great parking.
Easy walking distance to the town and Aldi is nearly next door!
You get a tv, a kettle plus private shower and toilet.
I've used it on two trips (total of 8 nights) and would be happy to stay again.
