The property was near the centre of St. Helier. It was convenient to walk there. The staff and owner were very pleasant at reception, in the bar and in the breakfast room. The breakfast was plentiful, the food was of good quality and it was served very efficiently. The hotel was scrupulously clean throughout. I stayed

Beachcombers Hotel, hotel in St Clements

Beachcombers Hotel is a boutique hotel next to the Royal Jersey Golf Course and Bay of Grouville, and a few minutes' walk from the beach. There is a bus stop directly outside the property.

The hotel and staff were lovely, we stayed out of season so couldn't make use of the facilities. The room was a bit stuffy because of condensation, again I think an out of season issue. Breakfast was good, good variety and again really lovely staff. The stages friendliness made the stay.

Excellent breakfast choice. Prompt service. A little restricted evening menu, however we enjoyed the ones we did have. We had to choose our table carefully in order to avoid incoming cigarette smoke. All waiting staff were very efficient and very friendly.

St Clements was a pleasant little town.

St Clements was a pleasant little town. There was an excellent pub The White Horse, serving food. A Marks and Spencer food hall and pharmacy and an excellent bus service. All buses were on time for the week I was there. I would recommend a bus pass for £35 that lasted a week for any amount of journeys

Nice little area by the sea with quite a fast moving tide.

Nice little area by the sea with quite a fast moving tide. This was good to watch from our hotel room as it came up the beach. Not really a beach resort like St. Brelade's but certainly suitable as a base while visiting the rest of the island. Not too far away from the restaurants and shops in St. Helier and close to the beaches and harbours on the south east coast.

Very casual and enjoyed by locals and tourists. The lido was brilliant fun when the tide went out. Lots of eating and drinking on the beech which was perfect and saved on restaurant bills. Fab Thai restaurant and seating area on the beach which we really enjoyed

It's quiet if you are trying to avoid the busy areas.

It's quiet if you are trying to avoid the busy areas. But there's not much to do. But there are plenty buses to get round. The few restaurants are expensive with not a lot of variety to choose from. Head into town if you want decent food, not cheap either but at least you have a choice!

When we were booking the hotel we explored a number of options on line and chose the Pontac House Hotel because it was a good value family run hotel. We were delighted with our choice. The room was clean and very comfortable but most importantly the staff were excellent with a friendly professional attitude to their work, and their attention to detail was second to none. It is rare to find such excellent quality at such an affordable price. We would definitely choose to stay here again.

For starters, please note that this is not a 5* hotel with all the trimmings but a guesthouse, so the rating is based on price paid and services on offer.. If you want a simple comfortable bed/soft shower, easy access to town and with a full breakfast prepared in minutes (yes, they only serve after 800/815am) then this is the place for you. Paula was a wonderful host and I spent 5 days there with no major issues.

The location was central to both Gorey and at Helier’s with a bus stop near by. The hotel has a lot of hassle free parking at the rear so there was. I worries about parking disks. The front desk staff were amazing as well as the staff at the restaurant and our room was always well cleaned and spotless when at the end of the day.
