Such a nice hotel. Beautifully run, clean and comfortable. Excellent cuisine in their restaurant with lovely views. The proprietor very kindly collected me from Gairlochy and ran me back there- I was walking the Great Glen Way.

The location was great! Only a 5/10 minute walk from a local spar shop and at the bottom of the street was a bus stop, we didnt stay long nor did we explore much of the town as we had been hiking the great glen way so were very tired but Sue and Mick were very accommodating with arrival times as obviously we weren’t sure how long the first stage of the hike would take us! In the pod was a microwave/oven that was really easy to use which allowed us to have a hot meal which we were very greatful for!!! The shower facilities were excellent and everything was really clean! For those who want a comfy night sleep the bed was perfect and very cozy and with a working TV directed at the bed what more could you want!? I thoroughly recommend it was great!

Loved the view and the proximity to the Great Glen Way path. The toilet and shower are really close by, as is the pub boat and little coffee shop at the locks.

Absolutely beautiful location! Just like the pictures, stunning view of Loch Lochy, right on the shore. Really beautiful ‘cabin’ - if you can call it that, very luxurious and comfortable! Every bedroom had it’s own bathroom, big kitchen area (which we didn’t have time to use, but looked like it had everything you would need).
We had dinner in the restaurant, which had decent Indian food. And was a very good spread for the breakfast.
Would highly recommend, and definitely come back next time we’re in the area.

Dani & Cameron are amazing and such lovely hosts, trying everything to make your stay as perfect as it could be. Running this guest house and taking care of their visitors is truely their passion and you can feel that at every moment.
The breakfeast was fantastic (especially the scottish one), the big garden is very beautiful and perfect for relaxing after a day of hiking. The self-service bar (wide range of beer/gin...) is a great idea and very appreciated.
Highly recommending to stay here if you´re visiting the region around Fort William.

Beautiful accommodation in a perfect spot. Alison was friendly and helpful. Comfortable bed and living area. Superb and substantial buffet breakfast including home made Granola, bread, butter and jams. Lovely quiet spot with beautiful views.
Lovely village with several B&B properties but book early!
Lovely village with several B&B properties but book early! The only restaurant in town was the Old Station Restaurant. Really excellent food and ambiance but again bok early - its the only place we found to eat in the evening.

We didn't really visit Spean Bridge since we wanted to see Glenfinnan, hike around the lochs and go to the beach at Mallaig. But it seemed nice and quiet. And Spean Lodge was a piece of heaven so we didn't really want to leave when we were back :)

Spean Bridge is a pretty little place with some stunning walks and scenery. The shop has everything you need for your stay and there is also a Post office. There wasn't a huge selection of places to eat or drink and some were closed when we were there but it was probably just the time of year and we ventured into Fort William which has plenty of choice to eat and drink.

Beautiful Small Village tucked away from the Hussle and bustle. Quite and Peaceful area. Mai Bus root to Fort William and surrounding area's.
Locals are so helpful and supportive, specially, i was waiting for a bus to turn up for a while when a beautiful lady turned up and asked me if i was okay as she had noticed me being waiting at bus stop quite a while.

It's a good place to explore the area.
It's a good place to explore the area. Spean Bridge itself is tiny, but has one excellent restaurant at the Old Station. There are some other places but they are only open until 4 or 5, so I did not visit those. For additional options, you'd have to take a 15-minute drive to the next town over (Fort William).
My hotel - Highland Bridge Hotel - has a pub attached that was frequented every night by the locals. So there is a place to hang out if you must.
Overall a good location to explore the Scottish countryside. Considering everywhere you have to go will take you an hour, it isn't so bad you're basically 15 minutes out of town.

We felt safe and secure in our accommodation.
We felt safe and secure in our accommodation. Felt intimidated by locals who got angry with us for not breaking the speed restrictions and we were not alone that felt this! Not much to do in the actual village itself but is a good base to venture out, the b and b we stayed in though was a pleasure to come home to - Braelea, run by Margaret. A fabulous lady with knowledge for days out. We are in restaurants recommended by Margaret.
The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. It was freshly made in front of us in the kitchen. Margaret as host was very nice and helpful.
The rooms were clean. We were In July but because the weather was relatively cold therefore the heating system works some hours during the day.
A perfect starting point to discover Fort William, Ben Nevis or Glenfinnan.
Such a nice hotel. Beautifully run, clean and comfortable. Excellent cuisine in their restaurant with lovely views. The proprietor very kindly collected me from Gairlochy and ran me back there- I was walking the Great Glen Way.
The host was just amazing.. went out of the way and made us dinner at a late hour since we were late back to the hotel after going to Isle of Skye and all the restaurants were closed.
