It is a small hotel so I was more than just an hotel key number. Very British (tea for breakfast!) . Big parking lot. It is a less than 5 in minute drive to the beach

Rather limited walking options apart from main disused railway trail Hayling Billy Line but good opportunities to spot birdlife especially at old oyster beds. Northney farm recommended for lunches and delicious ice cream.

Only one way in and same way out of Island but the accommodation was well worth travelling the few miles. We used the Island as a base and visited Castles Stately Homes and gardens as well as a few sea sides places we travelled up to 40 miles on some trips.

It is a nice place to go, the kids would like it. there is a fun fair and nice beach. The only snag is during the summer it can be a hassle to get on and off Hayling Island due to the volumes of traffic so you can expect long delays and traffic queuing.

Assess to the beach for disabled people not very good, could only see the sea from a distance, otherwise very good for people in a wheelchair or on a mobility scooter lots of ramps to go up and down. Mike’s restaurant in Mengham was very good and dog friendly.

I grew up on "The Island".

I grew up on "The Island". My teenage years were the best of my life. Some of my friends still live there. Many things have changed over the years of course, some for the better, some for the worse, but that depends on your point of view. Overall its still a pleasant seaside community, just not as small and intimate as it used to be.

Breakfast was very good. Plenty of choice. The waitress was extremely helpful. The room was comfy and well set out. The whole hotel was exquisitely decorated a with it being close to Christmas. Our only downside was they didn’t offer evening meals from,I believe, Monday to Thursday evenings.

The cabin had everything we needed for our stay and was better than any hotel room due to the location opposite the beach and the enclosed sun trap patio with BBQ. Sharon the host made us most welcome and would certainly recommend this booking.

Stayed at this property with my workers and everyone was very happy playing pool and ping pong. Great sun sets and sun rises. Never right reviews normally and we are away every week staying in hotels/ apartments but this one deserved it. 👍👍👍

A relatively cheap stay while transiting from Plymouth to London. An old 'country house' that has been turned into a hotel / wedding & events venue in a 'cheap & cheerful' way.
