Willowcroft, hotel in Alkborough

Featuring garden views, Willowcroft offers accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 29 km from KCOM Stadium. Boasting full-day security, this property also provides guests with a picnic area.

Willowcroft is a homely, welcoming set up. Sue was very accommodating despite my running late, and the room and en suite were presented to a high standard, in-keeping with the countryside aesthetic of the property and grounds. I wish I'd had time to explore the surrounding countryside as the welcome leaflet advised but regrettably it was a fleeting stay. Breakfast was well presented and great value for money, just what I needed when I had a busy day ahead.

I loved everything about this place. The cottage was perfect for us and the dogs and the garden and hot Tub was perfect. We loved the projection room for films and PlayStation fun. We loved the welcome pack and free beer or a bottle of wine. Also the tablet help for.working things was a great edition

We had a really lovely stay as a ‘trail run’ before booking them for wedding guests. The pods are immaculate and spacious with everything you could possibly need. The breakfast banquet was huge and incredible value for money. The owners are so accommodating and welcoming, would recommend to anyone looking for a night or two away!

Great hotel. You are actually in a castle. Great breakfast so much to choose from. Lots of lovely fresh fruit as well as a cooked breakfast. Best breakfast by far. The room was nice and the huge bed very comfy and the bathroom spotless. Will stay again.

During our stay, room service wasn’t available as the room...

During our stay, room service wasn’t available as the room didn’t have a telephone. There wasn’t any guest information in the room… had to go & ask for one. One night, the only food available was from the main restaurant, which we didn’t want as we’d been out all day & just needed a snack/light tea. Children were noisy on the weekend & didn’t get any sleep on the Saturday night as they were awake at 3am cry, wailing & running around. Wasn’t impressed with paying extra to use the pool & only being able to pre-book a slot. Spoke to reception on checking out about all of the above, she apologised & advised us to email & provided us with the address. Still awaiting a response. That’s not acceptable. It’s been 5 days, not even an acknowledgement. Why we waited to do a review. Unfortunately, the time it’s taken is endemic of the communication issue. It’s a shame, because it is a beautiful place, but they need to look at the pricing & reflect it on what was actually on offer.

South cave is a beautiful little village, every garden seems to be well kept. The people are very friendly and there are some lovely cafes with home cooked food at a very reasonable price. A mystery person makes woollen toppers for the post box, it was a dragon when I went and it apparently gets changed every few months. There are plenty of beautiful walks you can take around the areas.

    Nice location.

Nice location. The parts of the building I visited, restaurant, lodge, bar, reception, we're all in need some TLC. It wasn't good value for money. We paid £70 per night and Imo wS vastly over priced.

Fantastic hotel with a wonderful staff attitude aimed at pleasing guests. The venue is unbelievably attractive and full of lots of internal niceties. The wood panelled dining room was cosy for meals and has a plentiful breakfast selection. Tip: try the homemade muesli full of toasted pecans and dried fruit. Health club is well run with even pre-bookable swim lanes, changing rooms were clean and facilities in good order.

The staff in this hotel make it so special. The manager John was exceptionally helpful and so friendly. The staff were very busy and it was Christmas Eve but that didn’t stop them being really cheerful and friendly. All staff were just lovely and went out of their way to look after everyone. The food is exceptional and excellent value for money as well.
