Honestly, if you are staying in Sleaford, surely stay here. The young lady who manages the place could not have been more helpful and friendly. She advised us on taxis to RAF Cranwell, and, when a few of my younger friends were late for breakfast, she still cooked for them. She also made sure our cars were covered for parking for their first hour. If I were visiting Sleaford again this would be the only place I would want to book into.

The host was incredibly helpful; I had been a bit lazy and not paid full attention to the communication (which were excellent).

A very quirky pub, full of character with well appointed rooms again with loads of character. Room was spotlessly clean with lovely quality toiletries and a good tea tray. Breakfast was exceptional. Our television wasn’t working and we were offered another room which we declined but did enjoy a complementary drink. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Sleaford is a good centre for visiting the local very interesting ancient area, if on the one-way system a notice pointing to the Carre Arms hotel and distance to go at the critical point in the circuit would have solved the problem I experienced of ending outside a solicitor's office using the post code given. Plenty of eateries in th area local small businesses served very tasty food at reasonable cost.
only a few miles from Boston stump with a wonderful church where concerts are often given walks along the river pleasant memorial gardens with plaques for local regiments and air force.
Also Lincoln Cathedral is in easy reach.

Only stayed over on a Tuesday night, plenty of places to eat, we ate at a wonderful Italian restaurant in the square, it was busy which is a good sign and the food was excellent. There is a lovely church in the square and coffee shops to chill in. Easy to get to from main link roads. The roads in Sleaford are very busy at times but it is an old town and the roads reflect this.

Probably good to do a wee bit of research before you go.
Probably good to do a wee bit of research before you go. The only thing we knew about it was the Sleaford Mods spawned from the town!
There is a farmer's market first Saturday in the month. A range of restaurants and shops. Restaurants are busy on a Friday night and you need to book in advance. One way system takes a bit of getting used to.

Has a Wetherspoons for something cheap and quick but a nice restaurant in market square for something a bit more special.
Nice little riverside cafes.

When we were in Sleaford it poured with rain which spoiled our experience this time. Lovely weather other days visiting surrounding villages Kirkby-la-Thorpe, Asgarby, Ewerby.
We stayed at Finchhatton Arms in Ewerby, it was an excellent small, independent hotel, good food, friendly staff.

Not a place I normally would have considered going to before. We went for another reason but having now been, would definitely visit again. A very interesting town with a lot of history and interesting buildings. Lots of places to eat, ie pubs, restaurants and cafes. I would say a great place for a long weekend.

This hotel is located by a lovely square with a church and there are restaurants near by. The room was a good size and beautifully decorated. Everything looked really new and there is a shared kitchenette in the landing. The purpose of our stay was to visit Lincoln Christmas Market and it only took us half an hour to drive there from Sleaford. In the morning we had breakfast in one of the cafes in the square. I would highly recommend Bank Chambers to anyone visiting the area.
The owner of the hotel was really nice and so helpful,as I didn't realise there were no ground floor accommodation. And due to my wife being disabled it was a problem so Ryan went above and beyond to help us out and make our stay welcome. The room was nice and comfy and the bed was very comfy.
We have stayed at the Carre Arms Hotel regularly for several years as it is of a consistent high standard. The staff are very friendly and there is a pleasant atmosphere throughout each stay.
