As soon as I came into the reception I was immediately welcomed by the registrar. His name was Ali and he helped me give my wife a fantastic experience, boosting up our stay in a better room which I didn’t know I could do on the day which is amazing. He told me all about the facilities availability and what I can do but mostly how kind and welcoming he was with me and my wife. Everything about this place was outstanding, we can’t wait to come again!

We stayed here for our anniversary, our second visit, the last being 6 years ago. It's by far my favourite place near Sheffield, Immaculately clean and well maintained while keeping all of its history, every room has something to tell about its historical links to the trade unions and workers it was used by.
The food is mostly grown on site so is seasonal and EXCELLENT! Rooms are warm and comfortable and the beds comfortable. The staff are friendly and hard working. All in all it's an absolute gem of a hotel and a refreshing piece of genuine nostalgia in a frantic modern world. I hope this place stays like this forever.

It first came to fame during the Industrial Revolution for its pioneering role in the UK steel industry. One technique invented here is commemorated in the name of its most famous theatre – The Crucible, home of the Snooker World Championships.
Close by are the peaceful Winter Gardens with their multi-arched roof. The Peace Gardens are overlooked by the elegant town hall, and the focal building of the impressive Botanical Gardens somewhat resembles Crystal Palace, also by the same architect.
The city’s 2 football teams – Sheffield United and Wednesday – play at Bramall Lane and Hillsborough Stadium respectively. The cutting-edge English Institute of Sport is also based here, and the nearby Sheffield Arena is a prime UK venue for music and entertainment. Would recommend Noodle Doodle for chinese and malaysian food, and the Frog and Parrot for good pub grub, both very reasonably priced.

Pleasant enough city but feels like the shop offer has been reduced due to competition from Meadowhall. Some lovely buildings but some ugly ones too. Moor Market worth a visit and good to still have a HMV in town! The Cathedral is worth popping your head into - as is the Museum next to the Winter Gardens.

Perfect for Sheffield United matches, you can be back in the hotel before they've finished their lap of honour! Good location for the city centre. Clean, comfortable rooms, large kitchen area with tea and coffee, microwave, fridge etc. No breakfast available but Aldi a spit away and plenty of restaurants in the vicinity. We tried The Pink Tree, excellent breakfast options, including full English (take your own brown sauce!)
It's safe and close to the city centre. It may be that the customs of different countries are different. In the UK, the hotel will be cleaned every four days for free if you stay for more than four days, but in China, the hotel will be cleaned every day.
The price of the hotel is still very cheap compared to others.
The hotel room is not big enough for one person.
Easy walking distance to Sheffield city centre.
Check-in instructions were clear, and landlord only a phone call away, but that couldn't have changed the location and fabric of the place.
It was cheap compared to hotels, but far, far too pricey for what it is.
