Quirky, cute cabin. Comfortable bed and good shower. Tea and coffee facilities available and microwave and fridge in room. Parking available outside cabin. Croissant for breakfast left for us. Only 18 mins from eagle heights which we were visiting. Recommend the çhinese take away nearby, but have to collect.

We were not visiting Sevenoaks itself, but the National Trust properties in West Kent and East Sussex for which this location was an ideal base. The properties were Ightham Mote, Chartwell, Knole and Standen. Also The William Morris Red House and Eltham Palace are not far away.

The Hotel is of a good standard.

The Hotel is of a good standard. Our room was not large but comfortable with King size bed and TV offering BBC iPlayer or Netflix which is good for wet days. The bathroom was modern, and the towels are changed daily. We had to book in our car on the screen in reception and to indicate how many nights we were staying to avoid a parking penalty. This is indicated at the entrance. Parking then was free and plentiful, which is a bonus these days, with many hotels being unable to offer this. The hotel is in a quiet location and many interesting places can be reached easily. Hever Castle or Rochester for instance. It is also very close to the M25 so it's a good stopover for travellers. The hotel caters for weekend events, and we felt that it was a little understaffed on the Saturday night due to an event, causing a rather long wait at the bar. It did seem as if 'event' guests were being given greater priority than 'hotel' guests which should be addressed. If you book with an evening meal you are asked to work to a cost of £25 and pay a supplement if you go over which seems a little unusual. This is not indicated when you book. I thought that it would probably be nicer to present a special 2 or 3 course evening menu to all guests, with any supplements indicated which is standard in many places. The restaurant is situated in a charming medieval house adjoining the more modern part of the hotel and is reached through the bar. Breakfast was pretty much what one would expect in a modern hotel these days, offering continental and cooked food buffet. Although juice was available, we did not see cold water, which is sometimes preferred by guests. If the restaurant is not busy, waiter service is offered for breakfast. All in all, we had a pleasant weekend and would probably return if we need to stay in that area again.

Wonderful area for National Trust properties to view.

Wonderful area for National Trust properties to view. The best one being Igtham Mote nearby. We had drinks and dinner most nights at Donnington Manor. Excellent service and cuisine. Also a lovely outside terrace to have tea or drinks in the sun! Highly recommended.

Sevenoaks is a nice small town, there are plenty of places to eat, nice pubs, restaurants and some smaller boutique type shops, as well as grocery stores. Traffic can be busy but everywhere is easily accessible. There is a really nice country park, Knole park which has two herds of deer, a country house that you can visit and a great place to walk. Heathrow airport, the motorway and many other towns are easily accessible by car from Sevenoaks and there is a regular train service into London.

The host Ildi was extremely friendly and hospitable. The room was lovely, comfortable and relaxing. There were plenty of choices of Tea/Coffee/Milk and Filtered Water. In the Bathroom, interesting Toiletries and Creams to use. The Flat is a little Oasis, hidden away in the middle of Sevenoaks, giving easy access to Shops, Parks, Bus/Train Station and offering a wonderful retreat to return to at the end of the day. I will defiantly be returning

Breakfast was excellent and made with love. We were very impressed by this lovely house. This is definitely a place you should have been to. London is easy to reach by train without a stopover, there is plenty of parking at the station for the car (affordable at 8 GBP) but also Sevenoaks offers very nice restaurants and corners for shopping. Who wants to see London, can do it easily from this beautiful place.
