Good location! Breakfast cooked to order when we wanted. Hosts were lovely and made us feel welcome. Room was large and everything was clean and tidy.

First opinion was very good before you start to use some staff
The George Hotel Wetherspoon is a traditional, family-owned hotel in the centre of Brecon. It is popular for its fresh home-cooked food, real ales and friendly Welsh welcome.
The oldest hotel in Wales, this charming country house has a tranquil location, set in the Brecon Beacons with riverside and mountain views. There is free WiFi and free parking.
We travelled on a motor bike so eating locally is important.
We travelled on a motor bike so eating locally is important. We tried two of the three pubs and enjoyed the food at both. We would like to have walked from the property but this wasn’t possible, which was a disappointment.

No shops around and only 3 pubs which all were mostly empty..
Nice if you want a quiet retreat to get away from it all and get back to nature but not for is who like busy.
Interesting and comfortable hotel with wonderful staff. Wood burner stove in lounge. Delicious food served & great breakfast.
Slightly out of town with huge car park.
Good security for our bikes, they kindly let us put our bikes round the back out of sight. Thank you.
A very pleasant and welcoming hotel in a lovely and peacful location. The hosts , Bryan and Aide were very welcoming and helpful. All in all a lovely stay in a great location.
