By far the best hotel I have stayed at, it was beyond my expectations.
The building itself is elegant whilst keeping the original features and charm.
The rooms were like apartments huge, the front of house staff and chef went above and beyond even gave our pooch a sausage for breakfast and lots of fuss.
The food on the evening and breakfast was plenty, delicious and lots of choice.
Loved this place and will definitely be back again.

Nice small town, don't expect many shops or cafes/restaurants.
The Seaside was very beautiful, easy to walk, with beautiful scenery, golden sand and big rocks. Keep in mind it looks like it's always windy there.

A nice friendly little town with good views over to the Isle of Man or inland to the Cumbrian fells. Good railway links, although I didn't use them this time. Interesting proximity to the Atomic. Nice church and friendly community.

Seascale is a stunning seaside location, has a beautiful tranquil beach. Has the best place to get ice cream from at Mawson's honestly yummy.
People there are friendly and welcoming, it's got outstanding countryside you have eskdale, wastwater, ennendale, ravenglass on your door step.
Since it's out of the national park they are hardly any tourists so a lot quieter.

The Co-op local is the only general store with limited choices. The bakery only opens for a short period but is highly rated and helpful staff. There is also a Chinese takeaway which is decent and busy. There is also a pizza/burger bar. There is and icecream parlour at the Bailey lodge which I am told really good.
There are a few good pubs that do meals in the Gosforth area just 2 mile from Seascale and on the routes to Eskdale and Wastdale. Such as the pub at Santon bridge and Kellbeck hotel.
I would say if you are intending to visit that area then Seascale is only suitable for short stays.

Location is great. Very close to the Seascale beach and 30 mins drive to Scafell Pike/Wastwater. There is a local Co-op.
Both hosts Angela and Paula are kind and lovely. They maintained good communication. The lodge has a homely environment and lovely view from the dining room. Angela served us lovely breakfast. She was very thoughtful and offered to wash and dry our wet and dirty clothes post hiking. We hope to book our stay again in the future.
we had a wonderful time at 3BR Victorian apartment in Seascale. Apartment was cozy, beautiful and spacious for 6 adults and 2 kids. They have kept books for kids and there was a PlayStation that kids were able to play games. The kitchen has everything we needed for cooking. Bottled water have been provided too. I read appreciate that as I drink only bottled water. overall, this apartment was worth for money. We loved the place.
Booked this hotel as a quick 1 night stop over on a budget. It is an isolated pub just outside of Gosforth. It was very warm and welcoming, the pub is pretty. The bedroom was small and basic but had everything we needed. We had made alternative arrangements for breakfast prior to booking, so can't comment on the food.
The hosts were absolutely fantastic! Clive and Mel were very welcoming! We also loved that the bar/hotel was extremely dog friendly, even with our nervous dog! . The beer garden was fantastic! We enjoyed some lovely food as well as a great ale selection to choose from! We will definitely return!
the location is perfect for the Sellafield site and you can recharge the battery of the car at the hotel for a modest fee, the hotel is investing heavily in their infrastructure to provide more rooms and additional electric vehicle charging
