Sharon at reception was incredibly friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to make my arrival and stay pleasant. Other staff were a bit hit or miss (though all professional enough). Rooms/bed were comfortable enough and facilities seemed clean.

Everything! Great location, great restaurant (breakfast was awesome too). Our room was large and comfy; updated bath and great amenities. Parking is extra and close by for an extra fee, and with a reservation. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and professional. We were fortunate to be there on a night when they had live music in the bar; we got to boogie without leaving the property. Great bar too!

Salisbury was a nice small city - easy to get around.
Salisbury was a nice small city - easy to get around. Cathedral right in town; Had Evensong, pedestrian streets, and you could walk to Old Sarum. Also lots of walking trails on the outskirts which are easy to get to as we like to walk. Lots of restaurants, cafes and pubs around.

If you have any mobility problems then request a room on first floor as there is a lift but stairs to second floor.
The New Inn which is a 10 min walk away does excellent food, with lovely big garden with fire pit if chilly, and full of character, good market on Saturdays.

Lots to do in a small city.
Lots to do in a small city. The cathedral is magnificent, but a 2 mile walk away is the old cathedral site at Old Sarum so the town boasts the tallest and shortest cathedrals in the country.
Lovely playhouse and other arts centres. The market is a large one, Tuesdays and Saturdays. Sir Edward Heath's (PM 1970-74) house is poignant and well worth a visit.

We loved the central location.
We loved the central location. The historical buildings, the very friendly people, the brilliant map provided by the city that led us easily to everything on foot so easily. Definitely on our list for future visit and at the same hotel - The Kings Head Inn Wetherspoon.

Gorgeous cathedral.
Gorgeous cathedral. Would also recommend visiting Old Sarum (we took the bus both ways, as time was tight, but would have liked to do the walk along the river - suggested by the Visitor’s Information Centre staff). Really enjoyed just wandering around and exploring the town centre…some very nice green spaces.

The location is good and easily accessible with a large car park. The reception and hotel lobby and function rooms are spacious and modernised. The front of house staff and kitchen staff are extremely attentive and courteous and couldn’t do much more for you. It’s a shame the venue lets it down, staff were the only positive of our trip being so helpful. Special shout out to Heaben who was just wonderful and deserves a pay rise for all the complaints she must deal with.
This is the second time I've stayed at the hotel, it has a friendly atmosphere and well located in Salisbury, so you can walk into the city centre and easily get onto the ring road.
The rooms are generous and have everything you need, most importantly the bed is comfortable and showers work well
The breakfast was very good with an excellent choice for those you want a traditional cooked breakfast or something a bit sweeter.
Very clean and comfortable, friendly staff. Good temperature too. Heaters and air conditioners were available to use. Also hair dryers, ironing equipment etc. We only stayed one night but we could have easily stayed a week or more. Spacious rooms for a town hotel. Free parking. No fuss.
Hotel was modern, clean, bright and located in a good position to get on and off the A303 road. Staff were excellent, attentive and polite. The room was of a good enough size for our 1 night stay with ample wardrobe space. Breakfast choice was good.
