This is a hotel right next to the Texaco Gas Station and our room faced the sea. It's probably called Ocean Haze because there's a permanent haze over the sea! However, the rooms are very big, easy to get in and we had a French door so my husband could easily step out into the garden to smoke. Very charming staff and some very good Sri Lankan curries in restaurant. Would stay again.

Beautifully decorated, quiet and tranquil. Loved the space they had for the bar area downstairs. Evening meal was delicious good choice of wines as well. All staff were friendly and made you feel welcome. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family.

Ideally located, a short 5min walk to the centre with a terrific host in Nikki who nothing was too much trouble for. Rooms were comfortable with excellent facilities and the breakfast was stunning. Would recommend and certainly plan to go again

St, David's is on a hill and has very narrow pavements which makes it hard for people who are in wheelchairs or find walking difficult. The cathedral and the Bishop's Palace are great and interesting and the setting is beautiful but if you're not a walker there's little else in the town itself. If you ARE a walker it's great!

What is there not to like about St David’s.
What is there not to like about St David’s. A beautiful city with nice friendly vibes situated on the Pembrokeshire coast. If you haven’t visited then put it on your “ to do” list. And when you visit, don’t go to bed too early, you simply must experience the Rooks congregating in the trees around the city square before they fly off to their roost in the trees around the Cathedral. Incredible sight and sound.
While you are there a must is the Pizza restaurant called “Grain”…… such good food and exceptional service from a really friendly bunch. But don’t forget to book as they were always busy while we were staying in the City.

St. Davids is a quite special place.
St. Davids is a quite special place. Its position, the amazing Cathedral and Bishops Palace, the very pleasant small centre with very good places to eat. It's close to the amazing sandy beach just to the east.

Small but perfectly formed, Beautiful Cathedral and lots of walks taking in the wonderful coastline. Not far from several place of interest. Boat trips available, but book early for Skomer. Loved the Cambrian Hotel in Solva for food (excellent service and presentation) Also the Sloop Inn at Porth Gain, and the Shed for fish and chips.
Wonderful views from Porth Gain and also The Blue Lagoon at Abereiddy, and white sands and Newgale for beaches. The best chance of seeing dolphins was from boat trips or the end of the pier at New Quay.

It's an absolutely beautiful area filled with stunning views and a fair few places to walk. There isn't much of anything else there though, including shops and restaurant options. If you are looking for a relaxed walking, beach or camping holiday then it's perfect for you, however if you want more of an upbeat and busy tourist feel this probably isn't the best location.

The Cathedral was very interesting.
The Cathedral was very interesting. I highly recommend attending a service with a choir, either Evensong or the Choral Eucharist on Sunday: the choirs are magnificent. The Cathedral web site includes a schedule showing service times and whether the services are sung. I ate two dinners at St David's Cross Hotel and one at Saffron (Indian food), had tasty Welsh cakes for lunch at the Cathedral refectory (cafe). Walking along the Pembrokeshire Coastal Walkway for a ways was very interesting, and in early May was not crowded. One drawback: getting to/from/around St David's using public transportation is difficult, impossible on Sundays or Bank Holidays.
