We'd stayed here last year for the Christmas service in the cathedral. Love the location, the staff are friendly and great breakfast options on offer which we all enjoyed. We also ate there in the evening and we'd recommend the food. Rooms were comfy - so a good night's sleep.

We loved the double room for our kids. It was also good to have food available downstairs. It was pouring the evening we arrived and it made it easy to get dinner without getting wet.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We had the Garden Room, which was large and had views to the garden area which were nice despite a winter visit.

We have been to St Davids many times and have always enjoyed the area. There are a number of good eating places from cafes to high end eateries, a number of pubs and coffee shops. There are also quite a few independent shops for those who like something different plus a supermarket where you can buy everything you need if you’re on a self catering holiday. It’s a small city which gets very busy during the summer months but everyone seems to fit.

I didn’t know it was the smallest city in the UK. The St. David’s cathedral was a must venue to see and I will take the guided tour there next time as didn’t have time to do so this trip.
The hotel didn’t have any sports channels on the bedroom TV and could have told me where in the city I could have watched the game I wanted to watch ! That was the only criticism I had of the hotel ! The city is basically just one small street long and so easy to walk around in a short space of time.

A very meaningful place and also full of beauty and interest generally for visitors. The Traws Cymru bus makes it easy and relaxing to travel to it without a car. Excellent places to eat. Above all, the Cathedral and surrounding country and bays are the most important things.

St. David's really is quite compact making it easy to take it all in. Nice main street with some different shops. The cathedral is spectacular and well worth a visit - free but asks for a donation. We walked a lot along the coastal path which is also spectacular. Boat trip around Ramsey Island with Falcon Boats - very good but pick a quiet day weather wise.

St, David's is on a hill and has very narrow pavements which makes it hard for people who are in wheelchairs or find walking difficult. The cathedral and the Bishop's Palace are great and interesting and the setting is beautiful but if you're not a walker there's little else in the town itself. If you ARE a walker it's great!

What is there not to like about St David’s.
What is there not to like about St David’s. A beautiful city with nice friendly vibes situated on the Pembrokeshire coast. If you haven’t visited then put it on your “ to do” list. And when you visit, don’t go to bed too early, you simply must experience the Rooks congregating in the trees around the city square before they fly off to their roost in the trees around the Cathedral. Incredible sight and sound.
While you are there a must is the Pizza restaurant called “Grain”…… such good food and exceptional service from a really friendly bunch. But don’t forget to book as they were always busy while we were staying in the City.

My wife and I spent a glorious September week in St. Davids and had a fantastic time staying with Fran. Our room was large, beautifully decorated and even had a lounge with a fantastic sea view. The location was ideal for coastal walks, and Fran was a lovely and helpful host and made us feel right at home. We loved every minute of our stay in this stunning location!
We had a pleasant stay at The Groove Hotel. Although the hotel is a bit older, it was clean and well-maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was a nice addition to the experience. The location is also excellent, making it easy to get around.
Great location in Wales near St. Davids. Very friendly and supportive host family. Outstanding breakfast.
Quiet place - perfect to relax and as a base to explore the region especially for hikes along the coast.
A fabulous place. Large, well equipped rooms with lots of extras - fridge, balcony, coffee maker, lush shortbread.
The hotel is full of art, very interesting.
