Beautifully decorated room, very comfortable bed, excellent bathroom, and good breakfast selection.
The location on New Walk is also great - near the university, plus a relaxing car-free walk into the city-centre.
We also requested a quiet room - this was provided.

Beautiful country property, that felt like a home rather than a hotel.
Hotel staff were excellent, went for a family wedding and it was amazing.
A lovely old building in a tranquil location. A very nice dinner, but many items unavailable. An extremely industrious 2 waitresses but service was very slow as 2 of them were quite inadequate to deal with a full dining room!!

I love staying here its my favourite hotel when we travel to this area for any reason and never book anywhere else been coming here for years. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is excellent. We held our mother's 90th birthday here and our 35th Wedding Anniversary a few years ago brilliant. We love the train station down the road and the village is in easy walking distance. There's a great little shop Norths near the railway bridge with wonderful treats and café worth a visit .

I was very much surprised, in a good way with the hotel.
I was very much surprised, in a good way with the hotel.
My single room was on the 2nd floor, which had spectacular views of the garden and the water feature. I wish I could have stayed longer!
The bathroom was a little outdated but clean and functional.
The floors throughout the hotel were very squeaky, which may only disturb you if you were a light sleeper.
I would certainly stay here again, staff were lovely, breakfast was awesome and the scenery was delightful!

Very pretty part of Leicestershire.
Very pretty part of Leicestershire. Absolutely NO MOBILE SIGNAL so you can hardly book a taxi except from a landline. Some people will love the fact that there's no mobile signal lol. Very good access to Swithlands, where we had a family wedding.

Both dinners in the restaurant were excellent, served by friendly and knowledgeable staff. Rooms were good, our room lock failed on second day so w were moved to another room. This was handled quickly and efficiently so no complaints. The Wi-Fi in the hotel was not working which was the only inconvenience.
The staff were lovely - efficient, pleasant and helpful.
Rothley Court building was beautiful - full of character.
The grounds were extremely well-maintained.
Breakfast was very good - excellent menu choices and well-cooked, cooked-to-order hot dishes.
The evening meal menu was competitively priced, with tasty and varied options.
We loved the extra excitement and glamour of the weddings taking place.
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. We had 2 evening meals and 2 cooked breakfasts which we enjoyed very much. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. Our room was in the annex but it was a good size and very comfortable.
This hotel is in an interesting old building and quite quirky. It is a little worn but this is reflected in the price.
The staff are friendly and helpful
