I had a modernized room with a slighly odd layout (bed on diagonal) which was interesting though compromised the available space in the room. Very good location in the center of town, a short walk downhill to the train station. Several restaurants in the building, which has been converted into a mall/arcade. Browns restaurant in the building which is a posh one. Very good value (for me)

The receptionist was very helpful and gave us room with a walk in shower which we hadn’t requested when we booked; we hadn’t needed it then. The room was very spacious, well appointed and comfortable. All the staff that we had contacted with were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very attractive, well situated for us and nice and quiet.

The Hall is in an excellent location set in its own grounds and surrounded by trees, It is therefore very quiet and away from traffic and general noise. This meant a good nights sleep. The staff were polite and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good and offered a choice of food.
