The location was very convenient with close distance 24h parking (at a fee). The room was spacious enough & beds comfortable. An error was initially made with the room made up as a double instead as a twin room. This was rectified immediately by the staff as soon as pointed out + an apology & complimentary drink. Breakfasts, lunches & evening meals available - good value for money.

The location is spectacular. If you get a room that faces the sea, that would be wonderful. The patio is lovely too. Not sure why people are going on abut the road to get to the hotel. This is normal for this part of the world. Just drive slowly and mindfully.

A lovely country hotel with comfortable bed & enough room to exercise our dog. But we Needed our extra woolies and warm pyjamas! We were very well fed, and wished we could have entertained our relatives from Abbotsbury but they were too involved in the Arts week there. So two evenings we spent with them and one in a nearby pub, very reasonable prices at Ilchester Arms at Abbotsbury with local butchery, who also do great pies and sausage rolls for lunch !
Sunday evening we were stuck behind a flock of sheep at West Bexington which made us late for Dinner !

Tiny little place - but great for walking (except the weather was wet and windy when we were there!).
The position is good for exploring / travelling to other popular areas of Dorset - inland and coastal.

Such a beautiful area, typically Dorset country.
Such a beautiful area, typically Dorset country. Rolling hills, gentle green slopes, undulating countryside, beautiful sea views. Good pubs in the area without having to go too far. Beautiful villages close by, attractive houses, a few independent small shops but mostly keeping the villages as close to how you might expect a Dorset village to look.
Perfect location in a small, very friendly village within easy reach of beautiful coastline and beaches in both Dorset and Devon. The local pub is just around the corner. Although this pub is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, there are a number of other pubs within a few minutes drive from the village. All were very accommodating of our very large dog and all served very good food.
Parking at the property is easy and Kevin (host) was very friendly and helpful.
Great breakfast, good choice of cereals and a cooked meal. I particularly enjoyed the Classic FM greeting us when we entered our room, such a nice touch. We found the staff very friendly and willing to answer any queries you might have. The location was absolutely amazing, and the whole atmosphere of this beautiful hotel exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend a stay there to friends.
A delightful thatched cottage in a good village location within 2 miles of Chesil Beach. Our holiday was out of season and we were greeted with a lovely warm centrally heated house. The cottage had bags of quirky character.
I didn't actually stay at the Manor but you looked after my friends we booked in amazingly and l was able to eat and spend a lot of time with them there. Thank you so much x
