The Roundabout Hotel, hotel in Pulborough

Surrounded by beautiful South Downs hills, the pretty gardens of this converted Tudor house are secluded by tall trees.

The location and appearance was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had paid for breakfast but were told there was a supplement for an English cooked breakfast but that was £12.95, expensive and the portions were small. Others got different items of food. There was a used cotton bud in the bathroom and some areas were dusty.

We had stayed there before and liked the room, breakfast and location. It's a great jumping off point to many National Trust houses as well as the sea. We will always stay here in future trips to the area. Hosts are lovely and breakfast fabulous.

It was a good place to be based for visiting the stunning and bird-rich wetlands at Pulborough, Arundel and Amberley in winter. There was a fabulous and generous Thai restaurant, River Moon, where we ate twice. Tescos is very handy. The Black Rabbit near Arundel had the most stunning fish and chips and venison casserole, great after a visit to the Wetlands centre. Coming from a quieter part of the British Isles the worst trouble was road closures and poor diversion signs for us visitors who don't know the area very well, even with a sat nav and google maps.

Pulborough is no great attraction in itself but well placed to enjoy the Downs and other local sites. It has a couple of decent supermarkets and all the necessities if you are self-catering. Plenty of decent pubs locally for lunches/dinners

    Lots of great walking opportunites.

Lots of great walking opportunites. Wine tasting and bird watching all easy to do here. Book a taxi in advance if you do need one. It's a small village with no uber. Not a problem if you book in advance. Beautiful countryside and so many places within easy reach.

    Easy access to local attractions.

Easy access to local attractions. Pulborough Brooks RSPB reserve very friendly and lots of walks. National Trust Petworth House worth a visit but Parham House (Historic Houses) much better value for money, room guides very knowledgeable and displays much cleaner and brighter, they really cared about the house and gardens.

Quiet location, however there can be a noisy group in the bar area. Apparently this is a 'hangover' from a previous regime which had a 4 hour happy hour!!! from 5pm to 9pm. For whatever reason this continues

The setting. Beautiful views over West Sussex. However not much specifically about the Airstream itself. It did contain the facilities described.
