Clean and tidy. Breakfast was good, if a little overcooked on some items.

Eight things to mention. Lovely building, beautifully renovated, maintaining the character of 'traditional' Scotland. A log burning fire in the lounge and comfortable seating. A spacious sumptuous bedroom and lovely en suite shower room. The food was delicious. We ate dinner and a cooked breakfast. The Chef is gifted in our opinion. Staff were all welcoming. Darren kindly remembered my husband's wish to try a 'Dark and Stormy' - a complimentary drink - and mdh enjoyed it very much.

I am frequently in Pitlochry for family reasons, of course I am very impressed with it as a tourist location. There is very much to see at the most appropriate times of the year! January is not really the best time to visit Pitlochry!

The walks around Pitlochry are really beautiful.
The walks around Pitlochry are really beautiful. Been coming here for over thirty years. Used to be more affordable to eat out. Prime cuts of beef were also the norm back then. Now, some of these places cut corners on quality and portion size, but not the price. Paid over £7 for a beer to go with my pretty average, but expensive meal at one of the more established venues. Sadly, since the end of the pandemic, it seems that half of the cafes and restaurants in Pitlochry over-charge for their food and drink. That is one thing I have observed recently. However it is a nice town, but shop around if you are looking for a good dining experience.

Lovely place to use as a base for exploring the Highlands.
Lovely place to use as a base for exploring the Highlands. We have family ties so are slightly biased! We had lovely food in our hotel, at Fern Cottage and Jessies. The Old Mill was perfect for evening drinks. We travelled to Glenshee, Braemar and Balmoral, Killiecrankie, Queens View and Aberfeldy. The Highland Chocolatier at Grandtully is fabulous but very expensive!

A beautiful location in the foothills of the Scottish Highlands. A busy main street wih lots of interesting shops. There is also the famous fish ladder at the hydro dam and the impressive Festival Theatre with its beautiful hillside garden dedicated to famous Scottish plant collectors.
Loch Tay and Dunkeld and Blair Athol are but shorty drives away.

Westlands of Pitlochry is a clean, comfortable hotel with spacious and well presented modern rooms that retain the historical charm of the building. The facilities are great - in room TV and kettle, water supplied in the room, water bottle refill and electric car charging points. The breakfast is also amazing with loads of options in the buffet. It's also, by far, the best hot breakfast buffet option we've had. It's also close to the town centre and the staff are very helpful.
we booked the fishers hotel to go to the enchanted forest and it truly was the perfect venue, room was emaculate and well stocked with hot drinks and such for our stay, I didn't realise breakfast was included in our booking so that was a pleasant surprise too, as for location it's exactly where the buses stop for to travel to the forest with onsite parking as well that stops that hunt for the elusive parking space during the forest month.
The Arcasaid Hotel B &B in Pitlorchy blew my mind away, what a place, from the outside it did not look good! However, on entering front door the room was large, great beds, shower. Young lady on reception Lara, helped me carry our luggage in to the room! Breakfast was one of the best on our trip in Ireland & Scotland, gave us great directions to a great restaurant in Pitlochry, The Bridge was fantastic!
The public areas were very spacious, especially the breakfast room with a pleasing, open outlook onto the garden. The bedroom was also spacious with a good sized bathroom. There is a long tree lined drive into the hotel, however it took around 8 minutes to reach the Pitlochry main street.
We were upgraded at no extra cost to a subperb room in the gardens. Staff could not have been lovelier, more attentive, polite and considerate. Room was gorgeous. If staying in Pitlochry, look no further. Thankyou Knockendarroch Hotel for the second time, it will not be the last
