The staff in arrival were attentive. The breakfast staff looked after us and checked we had everything we needed.
We didn’t have dinner the night we arrived because we were shattered but the meals offered were fairly priced . If we visited again we would book an evening meal on our stay.

A good place to stay for visiting local attractions - in our case Canon Hall Farm. The restaurants we ate at during our two night stay served excellent food - Ti amo (Italian) and Cinnamon Spice (Indian)

Penistone is a short drive away and has a Tesco, Coop, and Spar to do your shopping. There is a fish and chip shop (although closed when we were there) and a really lovely Italian restaurant and takeaway called Ti Amo. I think there is easy access to the Pennine Way although the only time we spent in town was to get food shopping.

A small market town within a short distance from out accommodation. A smattering of pubs and a British Legion Club plus some decent shops make this a less hectic place to visit than somewhere like Holmfirth.

Good shops, Coop supermarket and Tesco.
Good shops, Coop supermarket and Tesco. Very friendly people. Variety of eating places. Penistone handy for visiting lots of interesting places, hence us wanting to stay there again ( we spent two fabulous days at Cannon Hall farm - superb! ). Advantage of being in a relatively quiet town rather than bustling city.

Lovely rooms, great customer service.
Nice, clean, bright, characteristic, tastefully decorated place.
You can tell they make the effort to make you feel welcome, and take good care of the place. It was beyond my expectations. I was looking for a cheap place to stay close to Penistone, with good public transport service access.
This place ticked all the boxes for me, but it was so much more than that.
I would highly recommend this place!!!
Exceptionally quiet and peaceful location, but only a short walk down into Cubley (on the outskirts of Penistone).
Plenty of space within the accommodation for a large group. Great amenities (kitchen was excellent) and plenty of comfy spots to relax.
Showers were great (nothing worse than a weak shower!) and the bedrooms very comfy. Enclosed front garden was great for the two canine friends that were with us.
Excellent location, owners were very welcoming and breakfasts were great. The establishment was spotlessly clean and owners were very helpful and friendly.
Lots of walks on the doorsteps, some pubs were within walking distance & others a short drive. Cinnamon Spice Indian restaurant is well worth a visit in Penistone.
would thoroughly recommend this B&B
Our stay was just an overnight one, en route to another destination. I wanted a low budget hotel because it was just somewhere to sleep for the night and as long as it is clean, comfortable and quiet I am happy, and Cubley Hall delivered on all of these. Whilst I would not choose to stay here for any length of time it was excellent value.
A lovely little cottage, very close to the centre of Penistone. Plenty of room for us, with three adults and two teenagers. The cottage is warm and cosy and tastefully decorated. There is a parking space, and more nearby. Check in was easy. Clean and well equipped.
