Holiday Inn Express - Glasgow Airport, an IHG Hotel, hotel in Paisley

Just a short walk from Glasgow Airport Terminal Building, this Holiday Inn Express has a 24-hour front desk and on-site parking. The hotel is just off the M8 motorway.

We were very impressed when we stayed for a night at Holiday Inn Express before we travelled to the Canaries. For an extremely reasonable price, we had clean, quiet, generously sized rooms and were made to feel welcome by friendly and helpful staff. The biggest surprise was the quality of the food at dinner; The chicken makhani was very tasty, as was the Red Thai curry. There was a decent choice for the early breakfast. Altogether, it made the start of our holiday very pleasurable and I would not hesitate to stay here again.

West Brae Inn, hotel in Paisley

West Brae Inn is situated in Paisley, within 13 km of Glasgow Science Centre and 13 km of Riverside Museum of Transport and Technology.

Nothing to like about the dirty place , the pictures are so deceiving those tea 🍵 stuff in rooms are not available in rooms. they were in the main kitchen. Even the towels very old and now off white. From Thursday to Sunday i was given 2 towels , no body checked whether i need more towels or not , not body cleaned the room or offered to clean the roon. The noise in that place is too much rooms have no sound proof and there were people walking on the corridor and talking all night i couldn't sleep at all. I did not bath at all because the shared bathtub was horribly dirty not sure when last was it cleaned. To be honest this shouldn't be on booking.com. i am totally disappointed. i needed time alone in a quiet place but i only stayed because i had paid. the place is stinky no bins in rooms you have to travel to the main kitchen, not sink u have to go out to get water it's just horrible

The heating in the room wasn’t working.

The heating in the room wasn’t working. A very small radiator was on. We were so cold but another radiator was provided. Bathroom heater was completely useless. It was a huge accessible room. Didn’t bother us too much as we were leaving early without taking a shower. However wouldn’t have liked to spend any time in there. Really needs to be much warmer in an exceptionally cold spell. That said the room was spotless and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was nice too.

It is a lovely clean hotel.

It is a lovely clean hotel. Lots of attention to detail in the bedrooms which are very well decorated, cosy and inviting. Staff are efficient and friendly. My favourites were the bar staff who were very friendly and welcoming. What would be good- instructions on how the shower taps work would be very handy. Attention to things that are not working so the plug in the bathroom sink being stuck could have been picked up earlier. But overall, a lovely restful stay.

The Penthouse was perfectly placed for quality visiting local restaurants including Trattoria Genova and the Pendlum Scottish Kitchen, both a short walk away, and Gilmour Street railway station, about a 10 minute stroll. The view from our Penthouse over the 12th century Paisley Abbey was simply breathtaking!

Ruther quiet, with lots of history, parks, easy to commune to other places by bus or train. 5 minutes from Glasgow Central. Easy for excursions to Ayrshire, Troon, or anywhere ealse. People are very friendly and welcoming. Food is ruther blunt but cheap. Buses and trains are on time and feel safe. Ideal for families with young children.

Stayed here as we had an early flight from Glasgow the following morning. The restaurant and bar were busy, but the staff were lovely, really helpful and attentive. The food was good. The rooms are very comfortable, nice touches like Dove products in the bathrooms and biscuits left with the water, tea and coffee facilities. Quick check out at reception, and the hotel is straight across from the terminal, so there is no issue getting to check in on time.
