The check-in process was easy and the hostess took us to our room. The twin beds were very comfy and we slept well in our room. If you're hiking and have wet clothes and want to eat your own meals from a communal kitchen, this is your place. There was a "drying" room for wet clothing and also a steam room. It's a fine place, just not what we were expecting.
A warm, family welcome awaits at this traditional West Highland inn/small hotel. Beautifully situated beside Loch Linnhe, Inn at Ardgour is reached via a very short car-ferry trip across the water.

We were warmly welcome by our hostess, who was also very helpful before our stay.
The room is rather small but comfortable, and the bathroom really great.
We arrived at nighttime during a storm but the morning we saw the amazing view of the loch.
We also enjoyed meeting the family animals on the way to our room 😺🐶

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The location is wonderfully secluded, offering a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The cabin we stayed in was incredibly cozy, everything we needed was there, even the kitchenette to cook breakfasts and dinners. It felt like a rest in the country house.
The view from the window is amazing, and there was absolutely no one else around, allowing us to fully enjoy the beauty and tranquility of nature in complete privacy.
We had a self-checking which was easy, the hosts explained everything perfectly.
We also liked that there was a parking near the boathouse.
If you’re looking for a peaceful escape where you can unwind and reconnect with nature, this is the perfect place. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to come back - we still want to see otters and sea lions, we hearts they live there!
Stunningly situated by the sea, this stylish hotel offers chic accommodations, facilities and dining.

Loved the building, the room, the people, the grounds, the area of Scotland!
Glen Coe is beautiful if the weather is decent. If it's raining, it's pretty miserable. There really wasn't anything open in early October so we were challenged for things to do and we weren't even there a day. Our place was 25-30 minutes removed from hiking locations and near the one place open for dinner.

Onich is in a beautiful setting.
Onich is in a beautiful setting. Our pod had a lovely sunny private patio with a stunning view looking down the loch. It is in the centre of an outdoor activities area so there lots of nearby things to do - walking, climbing, mountain biking, sailing , paddle boarding etc. The hotel has reasonably priced bar and restaurant with charming staff. The food was average but it may depend what you order- I had vegetarian burger, my partner had scampi. If weather very poor there is a very nice small cinema, ten pin bowling etc in Fortwilliam which is 15 min drive.
Pod is reasonably well equipped, bed was very comfortable but apart from a coat stand, there is nowhere to store clothes. There are no tea towels either.

End of our trip so only stayed one night - however this place is pretty and relaxing and I would say is ideal for exploring the likes of Fort William, Ben Nevis, Glencoe, Glenfinnan Viaduct etc so you could easily spend a few nights here before heading on to the Isle of Skye or further North.

Onich is really well positioned to visit some great places.
Onich is really well positioned to visit some great places. Ben Nevis is
at Fort William, with the delicious whiskey distillery at its foot. Definitely visit Loch Shiel (famous filming location) and the viaduct at Glenfinnan (as seen in Harry Potter). You'll be totally spoilt with the stunning scenery on the way to and from Eilean Donan castle on Loch Duich - it's a bit of a drive but so, so worth it.

The view of the loch was good.
The view of the loch was good. It was a stormy day and night, but that was an interesting view too.
It was a small simple room, which is all we need. I could do without the TV. The picture on the website made it super easy to spot as we approached. This was a great location for a stopover between things we did.

The location is simply stunning but the best thing about The Lodge on the Loch was definitely the staff - three cheers for Napoleon and Luis who made my stay so memorable. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The food in the Sea Salt restaurant was fantastic and great value. All really fresh, beautifully cooked and served.
There was something new to see each day as the team are working hard on the property, but I saw that as a benefit giving a sense of home from home. I loved it!
Fantastic hosts, who provided us with a comfortable home setting away from home. Comfortable bed, shower great and good breakfast to start the day. Mairi also guided us to get medical care after I got knee injury and to amazing local cafes, restaurants and sites. Our preferred one was Lochleven Seafood Cafe! Superb!
The staff were exceptional! Very kind and accommodating!
The food at the restaurant was absolutely amazing!
a wide variety and a large range of gluten free options.
Highly highly recommend this place!
