I absolutely loved that a pub was right next to the inn, it helped that after a long day in Edinburgh walking I could go get some food at the pub and bring it back to my room, bonus the food is really good. I recommend booking a sunday roast table! The room was very big as well, I barely used the living room area. The shower had great pressure and the bathroom was big enough to have your toiletries with you in there. There are also so many electrical plugs in the room, I had my phone, watch, headphones and mobile charger charging all at once! The plugs have a usb port which means no need for extra electric adapter. The room was very clean, even if it was a carpet my allergies didn't act up. I do always bring an hypoallergenic pillow case with me on every trip so that probably helped as well. The water is fine to drink but if you want it in a glass bottle you can ask one at the pub and they'll give it to you. It might be a good 30 to 40 minutes bus ride (depending on traffic) away from Edinburgh but there are so many busses that can pick you up and bring you back since there is a Dobbie's garden center right next to the Inn. If you have a car, there is a huge parking lot just in front of the Inn. Overall I would definitely book there again and I would say that being outside of the city definitely helped in having quieter evenings, for me at least!!

Property was very clean with modern facilities. Looked like a recent renovation done to a high standard with some very nice touches in the room for what is essentially a budget hotel/guest house.
