Cycled to the hotel, Lovely room twin beds but beds were a little on the narrow side, meals were great, safe cycle storage, the room was a very good size as was the bathroom, good location in the center of Rothbury,

Great to have a shower and toilet contained within the hut. Beautiful surroundings, saw a microlight and an aeroplane take off and land which was exciting (particularly for my daughter!) Outdoor seating area perfect for evenings. Owners very responsive to messaging on the app. My daughter slept happily on the sofa bed, the hut stayed nice and cosy all night.
Rothbury is a pretty village in Northumberland. There are a number of good independent shops. Being knitters, my daughter and I particularly like Rainbow Yarns, There are also nice gift shops, an antique shop, dress shop and a bakery selling huge filled rolls and yummy cakes. There are pleasant walks along the river, good for dogs. There are 3 hotels all doing decent pub grub - our favourite was the Turk's Head. There is also a good pizza carry out restaurant and a chippie. Rothbury is small enough to walk around, but be aware it is quite hilly.
Rothbury is fairly central for exploring the area; we visited Lindisfarne, Chesters Roman Fort and the North of England Open Air Museum at Beamish among other places.

N.T. over 40 miles of walks on the estate and 6 mile carriage walk which you can drive round. Queens Head served a good meal on Saturday night. Closed for meals after 6 p.m. on Sunday. Rothbury is only about 12 miles from Alnwick, an attractive market town with a castle used in Harry Potter films.

Small town with lots of quirky shops, three pubs, a wine bar and good cafe and bakeries.
Lots of interesting things to see and do mainly connected with Lord Armstrong who was an engineer and armament supplier in the Great War. The town has erected the Armstrong cross on the green in front of the church and pub in his honour
A visit to Cragside is a must!!!
The Haven is a beautiful property based in perfect vicinity to the coast and to do the Northumberland 250 route. The host was friendly, polite and extremely accommodating, the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable (the bedsheets were EXQUISITLY soft) and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We arrived on motorcycles and although the parking is on bit of a hill, it's safe and private which put our minds at ease. I couldn't rate the BnB higher and would definitely look to go back when we are next in the area.
Ideally located to explore the Northumberland coast. Dave and Pauline were the perfect hosts being knowledgeable about the local area and attractions but also welcoming us into their home. The room was a decent size and the power shower was brilliant. Breakfast was mainly continental style with some cooked options and offered something for everyone. Thanks Dave and Pauline.
We had the most amazing stay with Shaun and Lou in Rothbury. We highly recommend the farm for a stay in Northumberland. The breakfast was amazing, the location stunning and the hosts just lovely. They made our two children very welcome and they even got to feed the kid goat! Thank you so much.
Perfect location for exploring the area and enjoyed looking and shopping around Rothbury. Lovely walk along the river walkway. We did have beautiful weather though for your me if year.
The hotel is in a very central location and very dog friendly. The breakfast was delicious. All the staff were very friendly. Bed was very comfortable and room quiet.
