In the heart of Ceredigion, Hotel Penwig is a family-run pub with modern rooms and stunning sea views of New Quay, where dolphins are sometimes seen.

The room was huge. Sitting room with tv, table and two chairs. Also tv in the bedroom. More like a suite. Sea view through four windows. Location was excellent. Pretty village by the sea.

We had a great time staying here for 2 nights. We found the place cosy and warm with a personal touch. Thank you both for your friendliness and help while we waited for our car repairs. Highly recommend staying in the village for a real taste of Welsh hospitality. Cheers.

Loved Bargoed farm and the mootel room we stayed in :) very cosy feel had tea coffee etc and a little sitting area outside.
Loved that the farm itself had a restaurant and bar including farm shop onsite. We had breakfast and dinner there and it was lovely.
Would definitely come back again. It’s in such a great location and less than half hour you can be in either Newquay cardigan or Aberystwyth :)
New Quay is a lovely small town in West Wales. The beaches are beautiful and are often visited by dolphins who are great to watch. It has a few shops, restaurants/cafes which are all worth a visit. It’s a little gem.

New Quay is a gorgeous visit - we treated ourselves to the 2 hour dolphin spotting boat trip and were rewarded with dolphins and seals as well as plenty of sea birds and a great tour.
Amazing ice cream from Crème Pen Cei - not cheap but worth every penny and I'd definitely go back for more.
Plenty of families on the beach - my 17yo and I enjoyed a walk along the harbour wall and mooch around the front - there was something there for everyone.
Provided you're relatively fit, there's parking at the top of the town - £4 for the day is a complete bargain!

New Quay has a very steep access to get into the bay, shops and harbour. Some shops can be a bit expensive also. Parking in the bay is a nightmare. Best to park at the top and walk down. But then there is a steep walk back up, so not good for older people. Parking fees can be expensive. A lovely bay, however, with quayside and lots of seating to watch the dolphin watch boats come in and small boats in harbour. Biat trips, etc. A sandy beech for the kids and all you want is the sun to shine.

New quay is a small harbour and bay with a sandy beach and gorgeous harbour wall. There are cheap trips to go Dolphin watching but they can bee seen from the beach as well.
Plenty of cafes, proper British seaside holiday in a little package

We visited in the winter but still found enough cafes open to be able to get coffees in the day, and an evening meal.
Loved the feel of the place.
Unfortunately I can’t say how it would be in the summer.

We went out of season for this trip as it was for business rather than pleasure. However, having visited New Quay on many occasions over the last 10 to 15 years, we would definitely recommend the Blue Bell Deli and Restaurant, The Penwig, and Crème Pen Cei (the best ice cream on the planet!!!). The main beach is lovely and safe in the summer, with plenty of options for dolphin watching, watersports, crabbing etc. The lifeboat station is worth a visit and the new RNLI shop too. There are a number of small shops selling some good quality products, as well as the usual cheaper seaside fare etc. When the weather is good it is a really lovely place to stay.

Lovely place to stay. Just the right size for a couple however we would have struggled with the kids for space etc. The kitchen was perfect to cook if you didn't want to go out and the fold up bed was extremely comfy.
The location was ideal- it was just outside of New Quay town and opposite the Haven site. A short walk through the site led to a stunning beach which was better and unbelievably quiet compared to the beaches in the town itself. The Haven site had a shop and a restaurant which we visited on a couple of evenings.
This was our second visit to Wild Winds and we find the accommodation very comfortable and homely. Our host is friendly and incredibly generous and we have a welcome hamper with cakes, chocs etc on the table for our arrival. We love the location as it is so easy to get to New Quay and Aberaeron and we can see the sea from our kitchen window. There is a lovely area to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine and plenty of room for parking. We thoroughly recommend Wild Winds and will be definitely staying again.
The best thing about Woodlands Bellevue was Christine who made our stay extra special. Christine was a perfect host and ensured that all our needs were catered for. The breakfast was superb and plentiful. The property is ideally situated within a short walking distance from the centre of New Quay and the rooms benefit from a wonderful sea view.
I stayed with my 3 grown up children, mid/late 20's, for 3 nights early Jan. The house was stylish, warm and very well appointed. Also, excellently located for views, proximity to New Quay, the coastline and scenic countryside,
We thoroughly enjoyed playing the boardgames, provided, therefore spending such special time together as a family.
