2nd time I have stayed at this hotel. It’s a new hotel and it’s absolutely spotless. Good caring staff, lovely little bar area, cracking food and lovely local customers.

Quiet location, I have been 3 times before so I knew I'd be getting great quality.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast each morning was to a high standard and a great variety to choose from the menu. There's also a bar, though I didn't use it this time.
On previous visits,the dining room wasn't available post COVID. I chose dinner each evening and what a surprise the food was to a high standard.
Situated in Stranraer, in a historic building, 700 metres from Stranraer Beach, Thornbank House is a guest house with a fitness centre and indoor pool.
