Were told today by friends that The George had recently changed hands and that local feeling was the pub had gone donwhill. It was clean, bed comfortable, but we were not expecting to eat breakfast in our room and the food provided was very poor. We used to live in the village and were expecting better service.

Great location if you are in a car. Friendly staff.
Great location if you are in a car. Friendly staff. Comfortable. Good value. For the price don't expect perfection. Nicer than staying in central Bristol and the price difference more than covers lots of car parking.
Good for visiting Tyntesfield, SS Great Britain, Clifton and Bristol.
No food Sunday evening but there is a Subway not far away (closes 8.00pm Sunday)

The George Hotel on the main road has amazing food - that is very reasonable, the staff are friendly and welcoming. The Covid measures are good as is the cleaning. Looks a little grubby from the main road but is beautiful at the entrance court yard around the back and lovely inside.
Great accommodation, very spacious and extremely well appointed. We stayed in February and the weather was awful, cold, very windy and raining, but we were very cosy inside with easy to control heating. It is a good location for visiting a variety of interesting places nearby, however Nailsea itself is not one of them! We didn't meet our host, but it was very clear that he had put a lot of thought into making a stay here as easy and comfortable as possible.
There was a squirrel jumped onto the kitchen window ledge and seemed oblivious to us watching him for ages. The apartment was light and bright. Hot water supply was good. The location is handy being just a 20 minute walk into the centre of town. Nailsea itself is a delight with a very impressive Saturday Market and one of those lovely west country towns where people just start talking to you.
Very helpful & friendly staff. Clean & warm accommodation (once we sussed the controls!) Good points - helpful instructional labels.
Good beer - prices as per standard charged at hotels/pubs.
Loved the log-fire! Noted the adjacent seats were well occupied!!
A recently refurbished hotel. Nice rooms well thought out. Plenty of car parking. Comfy bed. Restaurant food was good.
All in all an excellent stay except for the breakfast
