I was going to give this an 8 but pressed the wrong button and can't go back without losing all the details below!
Self contained, spacious and quiet with parking right outside the door. Was worried it would be a bit cold but the thick curtains kept it toasty. Comfortable bed and having a microwave and fridge meant I was able to save on meals for the trip by doing a 10min drive to a nearby supermarket.
The pub/hotel where you check in has an ideal menu for the hungry traveller and the portions were enormous, the pie was just what I needed after a five hour drive.
The location is ideal for exploring the local area by car as you are within an hour's drive of a number of major historical sites and pretty market towns, not to mention the coast.

good old wayside inn of yore. no ghosts, we dont reall see eye to eye, if ever. Good sized room, the shower was just ok, the Inn itself was very good, just away from the main road, with good ear plugs it didnt matter anyhow

This village is well placed as a centre to explore Norfolk.
This village is well placed as a centre to explore Norfolk. Recommend Grimes Graves a neolithic flint mine just down the road. Thetford Forest and Hunstanton are close. The village itself is historic and has a circular walk.

Even though youre in Thetford forest its not long and youre where the main roads are.It does feel enchanting to be surrounded by so much greenery, with a lake too.Its very mind healthy to be close to so much nature. We really enjoyed the complete change of normal life for a few days away, unlike anything we have experienced before. We hope to return before too long. The owners of Lynford gardens have done such a good job with the transformation of the accomodation and surroundings, very pleasurable on the eye.We hope to visit again as there were places we wanted to see which were closed this time.

This is a cute little village, perfect for wandering with your dog. We could walk out the front door each morning and meander through the streets or walk over to Lynford Arboretum on beautiful trails.

Evening meal was excellent.
Evening meal was excellent. Room was in self-contained cottage nearby which was spacious and convenient, with parking space. Very large room, well furnished and well heated. Mini-fridge was very useful although seal is not tight (room 20). Large ensuite bathroom but absolutely nowhere to put a bath bag; needs a small shelf or unit above sink.

Friendly staff, good food.
Friendly staff, good food. The room was comfy and there was no noise from the pub customers. The location was good for me, being close to the nature reseves I wished to visit.
Internet was very weak; I compensated by using my phone as a mobile hotspot.

The environmental devoted tree sanctuary integration.
The environmental devoted tree sanctuary integration. The purity of the air. The peacefully energised fauna atmosphere. The loveliness of the space for secluded walking. The nature paced focused interaction. Almost back to where I was first absolutely immersed in dear pristine mother nature.

From start to finish everything was absolutely perfect. We had a wonderful friendly welcome as we arrived.
The room was large, warm and extremely clean. The bathroom was spacious and modern with a lovely touch of luxury toiletries. The towels were fluffy and thick (the best we have had in a hotel)
Breakfast was delicious with a lovely choice of fresh fruit, yogurts, pastries, cereals and a wonderful cooked breakfast.
Can’t fault this beautiful little b&b. We will definitely be returning. Thank you so much for such a perfect stay.
Very clean and comfortable room. Ample parking.
A strange set up though. The accommodation, is managed by the nearby Crown Hotel. When I called the phone number, I actually spoke to staff at the Crown. They joined me, after five minutes, at Clare with the keys.
A comment, when booking, that you really need to contact the Crown Hotel, would be helpful.
Food, for an evening meal and breakfast is available nearby.
really welcoming and lovely people - the place is both immaculate and interesting.
the food is exceptional and nothing was too much trouble I’ve stayed in hotels around the world and this is definitely one of the best and nicest ever!
The whole hotel was spotless, credit must go to the housekeeping team leader and the team for their standards of work.
The breakfast was first class with a great choice, quick service and plenty of flexibility on time.
There was a good choice for breakfast, the hotel was fairly full so the service was a little slow but not slow enough to be an issue really. I think that there was another wedding party staying there apart from our own.
