I would like to add that have now received a full apology from the manager, and some compensation. On that basis, I would book again.

I stayed here for the first time recently, due to it being reasonably close to EdgeFest. It was fantastic! Such a warm welcome at check-in, beautifully decorated room (top floor), super comfy, all the facilities I needed, great shower, plenty of parking nearby... Lots of lovely shops and cafes in the surrounding streets as well. I'd happily return and stay here again.

This is a great hotel for weary travellers who have just completed the Pennine Way. The room was large well fitted out with great decor and a lovely comportable large bed. I was thankfuk that it also had a bath with which to rest my weary bones. The evening meal was of a good standard and great portion size. I found the oatcake and haggis with my full Scottish a pasrticularly nice touch. I would stay here again if thinking about exploring the area further.

Very warm and attentive welcome by the hosts. Establishment full of charm and decorated with great taste. Very comfortable and clean room. The location was pleasant, quiet and also full of charm ; it is ideal for walkers on the St Cuthbert's way. The breakfast was delicious and well prepared, the pieces of homemade cake and the packet-lunch as well !

The apartment was just like a home from home.
The apartment was just like a home from home. Everything we needed for our stay was there. A fully equipped kitchen, with pans, utensils, crockery, cutlery, cups, glasses and plates, oh and a bottle of fizz in the fridge.
Beautiful clean bedding and plenty of space to hang clothing, a lovely clean shower room with fresh towels. A lovely comfy sitting room, a front and back garden. Absolutely perfect in every way

Beautiful accommodation with views from our room. We had a good nights sleep, lovely food and the staff were very welcoming.
Only thing not so good was the WiFi which was intermittent and downstairs only.

Morebattle village is very pretty and well looked after,...
Morebattle village is very pretty and well looked after, well maintained. The villagers are very friendly too. There is a local shop too which is basic but has the essentials in. The surrounding countryside is very beautiful and not far from Kelso, Melrose, Jedburgh, Selkirk, Galashiels.
