We were greeted by friendly faces every day of our stay. The room was clean and well presented for our arrival. The room was also maintained to a high standard with no visible defects requiring attention. We were contacted by phone the morning of our arrival to check if we wanted a travel cot set up for our baby. The bed was even bigger than we had hoped and very comfy which led to very good sleep (when baby allowed). We had the cooked breakfast both days and thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely stay again next time we want to visit the area.

Everything. The house was spotless and beautifully decorated and we were made to feel very welcome. The fridge and microwave in the room were an added bonus, as we had had a busy day out and didn't feel like going out again so we just bought some ready meals. Would definitely stay again

This was a lovely place to stay. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was surprisingly large and very comfortable. We enjoyed both an evening meal and the breakfast. We stayed there primarily because it was close to a castle and it was lovely.

Very peaceful and beautiful location in the heart of the Welsh countryside. The cabin is very cosy but more than enough for two people, also the bathroom has lots of space and a good size shower. Loved the animals roaming around freely.

Montgomery is a charming, Georgian village/town with a few interesting little shops and a quaint coffee shop. The castle ruins were very interesting, and the area was well preserved as well as having lots of historical information.
Being a small place, we were only there for a morning.

Really lovely old town. Lots of information in the streets.
Really lovely old town. Lots of information in the streets. Flowers everywhere. Nice steep walk up to castle but no access until 11am. Good deli/cafe. Seemed to be a lot going on judging from all the posters and notices on the town hall.

A quaint village which was like stepping back in time but perfect for a wander. We enjoyed a fantastic lunch at the Castle Kitchen cafe and all the locals were friendly. Montgomery provided the perfect location to attend the Kaff Kasset exhibition at Powys Castle and gardens..

Such beautiful scenery, we walked the canal and visited Powis Castle, where the resident peacock showed us his wonderful feathers. We had a cream tea in the courtyard cafe.
There is a little cafe in Welshpool called the Inglenook, where you can get anything from a sausage bap to scampi and chips, also plenty of veggie choices for the like of myself, served by welcoming ladies with lovely smiles🙂

Lovely rural setting with view of the sheep in the fields.
Lovely rural setting with view of the sheep in the fields. I ate at the Nag's Head which is at the end of the road. Lovely meal was good value for money and brownie was amazing. Montgomery itself it rather small but travelling to Welshpool for work was a synch. I would highly recommend this establishment with their hands on, nothing is too much trouble touch. I will be back.

This is an interesting historic property with ample, very comfortable sitting rooms. It was a delight to be served tea In really good china and to be made to feel more like a houseguest on a small country estate than a hotel resident.
The kitchen is officially closed pending the arrival of a new chief, but it was opened, obligingly, because I did not want to go out and provided me with excellent, tasty dinners.
A most enjoyable stay.
Beautiful location with stunning views near to the river. Debbie went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable ....nothing was too much trouble for her. Our room was absolutely spotless and included tea making facilities, fridge and microwave. Looking forward to visiting again soon!
Thank you 😊
