It felt like a was visiting a manor house for a visit rather than the usual hotel. We had dinner at Le Dragon Rouge and we all declared it was the best food we had during our entire trip! Kudos to the chef. Likewise the staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and the old-fashioned elevator a real adventure to use.

Menai is just at the tip of the island and just over the beautiful bridge, a sight you will never get tired of. Everything is easily drivable, lovely beaches, you are spoilt for choice. Menai town has lots of little shops and some very good restaurants too.
A beautiful part of Wales.

A good base for exploring Anglesey, and the north west of mainland Wales. Plenty of stunning scenery and beautiful beaches. The town around our hotel felt safe, there is a decent supermarket - Waitrose, and interesting local shops. A good restaurant down by the waterfront called Dylan’s. Beaumaris Castle is a 10 minute drive away and is in a pretty little village right on the coast. We literally drove around the whole of Anglesey in a day and on decent roads too.

The accommodation was close to both bridges which meant easy access in all directions. We really enjoyed exploring the island of Anglesey and also lots of places on the mainland. We really enjoyed our holiday. We found lots of lovely places to eat, some inland and others practically on the beach. We had a great time, wished we could have stayed longer.

The place is amazing the drive to the property is stunning, I would stay again. It has everything could could ask for in walking distance and there is everything there you need including a laundrette, maybe not the first thing you think of, but trust me you may need it, the views are stunning and the locals are so friendly, a trip I will not forget.

Great location in the centre of Menai Bridge. Prompt communication and good instructions for access etc. Basically go to the back of the building (cafe/restaurant) for access door. I stayed in the Boutique room on the second floor. Huge bed, nicely furnished room. Great WiFi but no phone signal. Great tv with plenty of channel options. Good hairdryer and also a full length mirror in the room.
We had a nice stay at Maen Hir. Eirian was welcoming with a good sense of humour. Our room was good value for money with everything you needed. Red wharf bay is a 10 min drive away and very pretty! Menai bridge has a fab restaurant called Theodores which was delicious.
Very well located property with excellent views across the Menai Straits. It offers the charm & feel of a traditional castle, and has the ‘potential’ to be a first class hotel (though has some way to go to achieve this).
A lovely cosy and comfortable bungalow with beautiful views of the Menai Bridge from the living room. It is in a peaceful and quiet area which we found to be very well placed to explore Anglesey and North Wales.
