Good central position, in the centre of the City, five minute walk to Guildhall, 15 minutes to the Dock and shopping centres. Very clean and very quiet (we had a room at the back which may have helped)

The person on duty at reception in the evening was absolutely excellent. Pleasant, professional, dealing with some really miserable person before I checked in and continued to provide excellent service, kindness and good humour.
I liked the fact the place was clean and the carpet was new and there was a lot of renovation in progress.
Coffee and tea making facilities in room good.

The choice at breakfast was well worth the money paid. I certainly made the most of the variety on offer. The room was lovely and bright, clean with a very comfortable bed. I was fortunate to be selected as guest of the day - which really did make my day - and came with some lovely fudge as well as vouchers for the bar and restaurant. We ate at the hotel for a couple of the evenings and the food was very tasty and filling. I was so impressed with the hotel and the staff that I have already booked a few nights for myself and colleagues at another of the Leonardo hotels during a work conference next year!

It is a studio unit with limited cooking facilities but has fridge, cutlery, plates and bar stool table to use. Landlady cleans cutlery due to no kitchen area. Internet was faulty when we were there but not a hinderance to us and fixed by Virgin. Bed was very comfortable and electric heaters kept unit warm as required. Quick access to City.

Matson is the most beautiful area to stay, it’s close to all amenities by car, it’s peaceful and I would recommend it to anyone . It is very close to the city of Gloucester where there are lovely restaurants coffee shop and shopping. Cheltenham is also close. You can drive easily to Bristol or Bath. A fantastic base to discover the beautiful Cotswolds. I cannot wait to go back, it everything we could have wanted.
